So you're not there as a craftsman, only to oversee the actual piano craftsmen? Something fishy here. Diversity hire? Come on, Steinway, have some pride in your heritage.

Oh that’s a gross thing to say. Go crawl back under your rock.

@@Tbop3 To be honest though, completing your training doesn't mean you are a competent craftsman any more than graduating from culinary school makes you a chef. You still need 2000-3000 hours of experience before you can apply for your journeyman/red seal status, and only then can you begin climbing the ladder against other red seals from commis to chef de partie, sous, and finally chef. If she only completed her training in 2014 then she would not have had any time to actually work as a craftsman before becoming a supervisor. As much as you or I hate to admit it, it does seem a little fishy. She started out the video by saying she wanted to be a piano maker, but she doesn't actually physically make any pianos?

@@Tbop3 So according to your own analysis, she started in 2014, took 3 years to complete her training and then would typically need 5-8 years to be recognized as a senior, so it should be 2022-2025, according to you, before she would be considered qualified to supervise people. Are we to believe that there was such a need for supervisors, while at the same time, there were no other senior level craftsmen at Steinway who could either become supervisor or who were already supervising, that before the new staff could even be considered a senior, needed to be immediately fast-tracked into a supervisory role? There's also no mention of what she did as a craftsman either, even though she wanted to become a, "piano maker".

Yes. Because zhey/they are not a craftsmen or a craftswoman. Zhey/they are a non-binary craftsperson. (I'm being sarcastic)

@@Mateus01234 I think you mean craftsperchild. The word "son" is gendered. You're welcome ;)
