avengers has cool history...they were the opening band for winterland gig of the sex pistols when they toured the usa...sadly it was the last concert for the pistols as they broke up after the show or the next day...the bass player for the avengers...jim wilsey went on to join the band silvertone as the lead guitar player...silvertone later became chris isaak and silvertone and then just chris isaak...jim played guitar on wicked game...most know that song and video

I just got presale tickets for The Damned next July at The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver Canada. Avengers are touring with them, not sure of the band lineup yet. Was just going to dig into your lesson on New Rose when I saw this pop up. 👍🏻
