It took me a while to figure out that it's X7 because Zeekgreymon counts as two materials because he evolved from a version of Metalgreymon who was a xros consisting of Greymon and Mailbirdramon

I'm sorry but thanks to the great adaptation of SabanBRAND for digimon xros wars ... let's forget to listen to that song for a long time ... it was horrible that they adapted the first season ... but even more forcing the rest of the world (who in the times of fox kids and jetix) we had the series with the names of the USA but the Japanese soundtrack ... unlike ... obviously USA ... sabanbrand forced the adaptation to reach the rest of the world would be 100% the USA ... and with that he lost the target ... all the fans of xros wars in europe and latin america ... after the first chapter they abandoned it and that made him not even try to adapt the second and third seasons

Ich wünschte mir so sehr, man hätte Digimon Xros Wars mit Orientierung am Japanischen, wie bei allen anderen Digimon-Anime, mit einem vernünftigen Deutsch-Dub ausgestattet und geeignete Synchronisation verwendet... stattdessen leider dann die Ernüchterung mit der hart zensierten, amerikanisierten Version und unpassenden Sprechern. Dieser Anime wäre bei einer richtigen Synchro 100 % unglaublich episch geworden. Und sollte es rechtliche Probleme bei übersetzten Liedern geben, hätte man diese auch einfach japanisch lassen und Untertitel verwenden können. Wirklich, so viel verschwendetes Potenzial, das die Beliebtheit von Digimon Xros Wars als Digimon Fusion nach unten drückte.

Yeah they all went back. There's a season 2 to this series, that tries to do what the first Digimon series did. They even built up to an epic finale where all the leaders of the digi-destined from all previous series show up, but it's incredibly rushed, which kinda ruined it.

Introducing a new protagonist was a way to mimic the original show with how there was now a new group to follow, which allowed the old protagonists to become mentor figures.
