I agree with you. There should be some form of tourist information points where one can receive needed information like we have in Europe. All what tourist police does in Pakistan is take our passport numbers but that is no benefit to us 🤷‍♀️

Well done! The second hotel is more comparable to a hotel, but the previous one was more comparable to a roadside motel. Typically, it costs between 4/5 thousand rupees per night.

Skardu is over rated destination, people became greedy after number of tourists increased in Skardu. They used to be nice but now, they became greedy. From a Pakistani..

I wouldn't say it's overrated, rather it is as nice as my other places in the northern areas of Pakistan. However I agree that the prices of hotels are high comparing to other areas. Nevertheless it is worth visiting...
