Judit Polgar (the strongest of the Polgar sisters) never has been world champion indeed, but Susan Polgar - the older sister - has actually been Woman's World Champion. So yeah, technically "Polgar" was world champion. But of course I get your point, there was no "open" world champion going by the name of Polgar.
