I don't think they're allowed because it ruins an aspect of the challenge. Otherwise he would have a massive advantage as he never has to buy balls again and can spend all of his money on powerful items and heals and have a lot more chances to catch a pokemon. Safari Balls have a Great Ball's catch rate, which costs 600, if he just got 99 Safari balls for free. That's essentially a free $60,000 (more if he keeps coming back for more) which seems pretty unfair as there is no guarantee the others would have something similar happen for them. Unless they randomly decide that they don't care which is always possible, but in past series they've never let that fly to my knowledge.

@@GentleCrank You could be right, I do know that at the very least when it came to Master Balls that if they appeared in a shop they were allowed to get 1. But only one. Which I see as fair as with a randomizer, most games inadvertently randomize what the actual Master Ball gifting would be into some other item. When It comes to other balls in other series I can't say for 100%certainty. But i'm sure they'll cross that bridge if they run into it.

Suggestion for the guys. Maybe keep all pokemon at gym leaders ace lvl. Dont go above until your at the leader or you can't use the mon for the fight. That way the battles outside of cage matches can be equally fun/intense. It's a hardcore nuzlocke rule, I know, but it could make for some memorable content.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but i believe fossils can be restored at anytime when you take them to Devon Co. Also the beach is route 109 so you should be able to fish there for an encounter. There is also Sea Mauville on route 108 when you get surf and you can get an encounter in the front door of the power plant under the bike path with surf as well. Hope that helps

at 29:27 Vinny should have used water pulse at the 3rd turn where miltank unleashed its energy. vinny would have done a lot of damage and i think even if Frank milk drink vinny would have won the exchange as milk drink has 10 pp where water pulse has 20 pp and if frank bided vinny wins from there bc it would have been 2 shot from there. SO vinny should have done water pulse instead of mud slap in the 3rd turn. But ggs to Frank for a brilliant play.
