Tavi and I randomized our starter pokemon in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We both will see what starter pokemon each other get! Then before we pick our starters our opponent will ban one starter pokemon from each set of 3! After 6 rounds We then build our teams the best we could and then we fight in a 6v6 Pokemon battle! I have an idea for you to try, roll a wheel with a bunch of signature or powerful moves, and then pick your starter knowing that signature move it will get alongside whatever it normally learns.

Ban your own starters idea… you choose 1, 2, or 3 before you see your own starters, that one is banned, then you have two left to choose from. OR, whatever you choose is the one you keep before you know.

I've got an idea buff, nerf, fix a bug it kind of like kiss marry kill but instead it affects the pokemon starters and your opponent gets to choose one pokemon to buff choose one pokemon to nerf choose one to fix a bug then after you pick you spin a wheel to find out the affect

Maybe a version of this where you each get one veto for the bans for the whole video. So, if he banned your Thunderus, you could veto it and essentially force him to ban another(although redundant to add, as you would take the veto mon) It forces the player to strategies when to use it, but also gives you each a guarantee at a good mon.

Idk why this thought came to me, but after Tobin talked about not using Snorlax much, I thought of a Violet Paradox form that combines Snorlax with Stunfisk and makes Bear Blanket. It's the heated blanket that pairs with OG bean bag chair Snorlax to make the most comfortable/most dangerous Mon and Paradox variant combo. I was thinking like a fire/electric snorlax pelt with access to serpentine moves like wrap and constrict.

I, for one, thought your idea was pretty hilarious and awesome. Never once actually pictured Snorlax as a bean bag, although I know they make them shaped like him. I understand the fire is simply for heat, but I don't think it fits all that well, personally. Especially giving him moves like flamethrower or fire punch. Without moves like that, as well, he'd have a poor move pool for STAB. I think maybe a Fairy/Electric typing, and some kind of static ability, making contact and paralyzing while he binds the target.

How about one where one side proposes a pokemon, the other has to decide to ban or let the other pick. You have to pick the one you propose unless it gets banned where they then can freely choose any two of the remaining starters.

IDEA: You both get 10 minutes to go out and find three (3) different Pokémon that you want to use in a battle, then you opponent chooses one (1) out of those three (3) Pokémon in secret without knowing which Pokémon they get back. You can be sending him Skeledirge, Lucario and Iron Jugulis and getting back Iron Hands, Tyranitar and Empoleon and the two of you has to guess which of the Pokémon you sent to the other one that your opponent wants to face the most and pick a counter to that one. After that, you will get six (6) of them with their original typing, but their abilities and movesets are all randomized. So basically the movesets and abilities that you get on your Pokémons, combined with your knowledge, will determine the outcome of the match. You can expand it to capture as many as you want and send six (6) Pokémon, not making them fully evolved upon capture (If applicable) or even no Legendary/Pseudo/Paradox/Mythical Pokémon if you want to spice things up a bit.
