There's some tips for you blitz. 1. You can change the battle position of every villager, and there's an indicator that said it's effective or not 2. You can equip the equipment that drop while battle still on the run

The broom seems really good especially if you give all you Villagers the Amulet of the Forest - Place two Gold Bar cards, one Magic Dust card, and one Wood card on top of a Smithy card You feel the healing power of nature running through you (Combat Level 6). It heals an Ally/villager/pirate with lowest health when equipped and it's a helmet slot item so every one wearing one can heal each other plus the broom healing all allies/villager/pirate

If you put raw meat into the stove with carrot, potato and onion you get stew which will feed most of your people, plus give them a boost.

You could do a ranch (I don't remember the name, that one you can put animals in) put a bunch of chickens, you get a lot of eggs, use the eggs to make omelette in the campfire
