@MultiLimpet No, not really. You could use a cartridge on a reset console to play an unpatched version, but to play and clear levels that have already been uploaded you need to connect to the online servers, and that requires getting the updates.

Smm2 has levels still being uploaded, but Smm1 can't have any more levels uploaded and is shutting down soon so there's only really an incentive for Smm1

Yep we closely evaluate if the level is impossible (cause it might have cheese or a workaround) and if it is we put it on a separate list, report it, and call it a day

Actually, if there are so many people trying to beat every single level in SMM1 then I have to say it is a worthless effort as we already know for a fact that there are, at least, a few unbeatable levels in SMM1 that where not deleted. I mean, there are levels that rely on some glitches that where patched by Nintendo (DGR himself has shown a couple of them) and so, will never be beaten whatsoever. Being said that, just let SMM1 rest, it ended, there's no point on wasting more time on that game, Nintendo already "killed" it, just focus on SMM2.

the unbeatable/patched levels were removed from the list the team 0% is using. there are dozens if not hundreds of people that are working on clearing the levels and are enjoying it while they can. Smm2 has already been said to have its last major content update a LONG time ago so it is dead in nintendo's eyes too. Why even try to beat the smm2 levels since it is just going to end eventually too?

@@gizanked the fact that those levels where removed from that list doesn't mean they where removed from SMM1 itself, so, there will always be unbeated levels in SMM1 you want it or not. SMM2 is not dead whatsoever, it has major improvements compared to SMM1. At least is more recent than SMM1 and is on the latest platform released by Nintendo (Nintendo Switch) rather than been on an already old platform and even discontinued like Nintendo Wii U

@@Variab13 even if there where impossible levels in SMM2 we are still in time to get those level's makers to actually fix those levels, that wouldn't be possible or at least, worth, to try on the SMM1 impossible levels because the servers are going to get down in no time.
