When the Shawnee tribes were forcibly removed from Indiana and Missouri in the 1830’s they settled in the Kansas City area. One smaller band, led by Chief Black Bob, came south and settled in southern Johnson County, near Olathe, where their plight continued.

Are you from this nation? If I am not mistaken, although I am not formally affiliated yet, my band would likely be of the Fish Band. My great-great-great Grandfather Paschal Fish. So I look for resources anywhere to help learn Sawanooki language and customs, but I find it difficult to locate anything trustworthy and not just historical works written by others.
