The most, most heartbroken, painful, perfect kiss scene I have ever watched. The chemistry between them is insane, great actors. All my admiration and respect to Sam and YU. Note: very grateful YU didn't hit his head against that little table when Sam pushed him so hard against the sofa. YU literally flew in the air.

The couch scene is one of the best scenes I have ever watched. Both Sam and Yu did fantastic work! The acting is excellent. There are layers of emotions portrayed: love, longing, pain, frustration, and others. Don't know how many times I have watched it. And each time you discover new details. If I can, I'd give them an award for that scene. And as some people pointed out in the comments section, the scene was improvised. They filmed one take for 15 min if I am not wrong.

Random fun fact. Shuyi's dad actor is actually an old actor who's playing as ultraman 😂 (yes hes japanese) Sam drank 3 big glasses of whiskey to shoot that drunk scene. They filmed several version, then decided to throw away the script and just improvised with everything. There's this one take that's soooo wild, they ended up didn't use that ver but you can watch it in the bts. Its a must!! You'll see how professional these boys are in the bts. AND THEIR CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING 😭😭 That ep2 is actually so heartbreaking to Sam and Yu, they cried so hard during the premiere bc the feeling is just too real for them, and they just can't get out of the characters yet at the time 😢

It happens to BL actors a lot. They struggle to get out of character sometimes and hence end up falling for their on screen partner irl for as long as they play that character

The writing for this show is something else. They way they play with flashbacks and flashforwards (the previews) giving us bits of information to get the whole picture but some details are always wrong, I can't! Every time we think we know what's going on, they throw us a curve ball. I hate it... but I also love them for that. The plot itself is not something out of this world, but how they chose to tell this story is so engaging and so damn addicting. Shi De and Shu Yi must be some of the most complex characters in BLs I've ever seen. (I also love the main couple in HIStory3: Trapped and it's no coincidence that both stories were written by the same screenwriter.) PS: At first, I also thought it was only Zhe Yu ordering Bing Wei around in that meeting room scene 12:35 but then I saw how Bing Wei looked at him and touched his shoulder on the way out to show he understood Zhe Yu wanted some time alone with Shu Yi. I swear to God this series doesn't do them enough justice by showing their interactions alone.

the fifteen minutes scene has no designed lines and script, they decided to give up the original script because Sam thought the emotion is not right. They did that scene three times, YU had no idea what would Sam say and do. Sam drunk three whiskies for this scene. THEY MADE THE BEST SCENE.

On the first watch on its original airdate, the scene in the office where the staff discusses technical issues with Alpha went right past me as filler, just there to remind us this context is supposed to be a company that does actual things. But watching it again AFTER ep 4's cliffhanger, it now seems clear that this scene was not simply a throwaway moment--whatever "technobabble" explanation they will present in Ep 5+ about the twist at the end of Ep 4 was seeded in that moment of Ep 2.

In an interview the director explained that scene “ it represents the way Gao Shi De felt about the deal / promised with the dad . He couldn’t breath because he couldn’t tell Shi Yu about that . He screams underneath the pool because he can’t repress his feelings anymore .When he lets go and kisses Shi yu is a way of letting everything out . He wants to tell him everything but is afraid of the consequences with the dad “
