I encountered a cheater in paladins today actually. It was an inara (funny enough) and she had wall hacks and aim bot. I tested this by playing Skye and going FAR into their back line and going invisible. She immediately snapped on me, from point, and shot me every single time while I was still invisible. She didn’t have illuminate btw

Why i hate zhin right here. He is capable of running around your backline FREELY in a lobby of highly skilled players with a single jenos pocket and no self sustain cards. The only time he actually dies is when he ults and others are around or when everyone on your team pushes him at once and hunts him down. The fact it takes 3 of you to take on a single zhin is the issue with his character. He needs a nerf badly. Counter card neeeds to be nerfed badly. He can land a single counter and his counter CD is reduced by 70%...? Its just 100% DR FREE. And he can avoid ults. Honestly make counter have a 50% DR instead of complete damage immunity.

No idea how you're able to do well playing ranked. The matchmaking you have as compared to me is completely different. Even in ranked people just pick whatever they want, don't have a healer? Tuff bc last pick wants to play raum and people CONSTANTLY ragequit or sit afk on top of NEVER communicating. It really truly seems like there is an entirely different matchmaking system for console players than pc and that ours is almost random. As of typing this I'm IN a ranked match, 3 on my team have picked, a lvl 129 skye, a lvl 94 viktor, and an UNRANKED YAGORATH without literally any messages in chat being sent by anyone.

What rank are you though? If you're in lower ranked lobbies there's a reason those players are clueless, and the only way to escape the hellscape that is bronze to gold lobbies is to hard carry your way out, or team up with other players who are halfway decent. But keep in mind you will still encounter trolls and rage quitters even in plat+ and diamond+ lobbies. That being said, I do find a lot of controller players are either worse, more trolly, or clueless when it comes to game sense which is why I gave up on them and set my input selection to KBM only. I mostly chalk it up to the fact that there are far more kids, like actual children, that have an XBOX, Playstation, or Switch than there are that have a capable gaming PC.

@@omegagladiator4440 That explains a lot. I made the mistake of doing my placing on first night this season and ended up playing people like rock, mutu, vajaa, etc. in repeated matches and had to crawl out of the hole.

​@@liamengram6326 if the only way to attain a rank I should be in is to be better than I'd need to be to get there the game is simply luck based, it's a roll of a dice. On top of that the reason for your feelings on roller players is that aiming genuinely doesn't work on console, the inputs don't register correctly and they never have since open beta. That being said and your confirmation it really does not matter what your skill level is. That leaves me with one question, why do youtubers make videos on this game? If the game is genuinely in the state it's in then youtubers making videos on this game is actively contributing to the problem because none of them (from what I've seen) address those issues, they seemingly just eat the fruit of the issues and get views off it, telling hi-rez/evil-mojo that nothing actually needs to be done. Like I saw a recent video where andrew actively stated that he thought ranked felt better this seen than it had in a while when that is simply not a true statement at all, it hasn't even been changed. So either they're turning blind eye's or are actively attempting to conceal the problem for their own benefit.

Honestly the only people that ive seen use lifeweaver have done at worst "bad" pulls. Not pulls that wete legitimate trolling. The only pull trolling was from streamer andies pulling other streamer andies.

Do you think you'd perform well in Ranked without Royal Subjects? The fact that it's used by more than 75% of Diamond+ players makes it feel like a massive crutch, while BK's other 2 talents are just as viable since the bomb size shouldn't matter at that level of play.

I can still perform well with Chain Reaction, it just requires me to flip my mindset from spamming to sticking. Royal Subjects is a crutch for low elo players, but for high elo players it provides a major advantage when it comes to hitting players behind cover. If you know someone's coming around the corner, you can spam bombs their way and hit them. You can also spam bombs above shields like Khan's and even Fernando's with Royal Subjects, doing damage to both the player and the shield.

If you think the point of Royal Subjects is to make it easier to land shots, you're playing it wrong. Even with Royal Subjects the aim when fighting anyone out in the open is still to hit the champ right in the chest to maximize damage. Royal Subjects is more about zoning and cover denial.

Exactly. The side effect of increased cover denial is that it makes your shots easier to hit, but easier shots isn't the primary purpose. That said, it does make Bomb King easier for players whose aim isn't good, because if they miss a direct hit, they'll still get some sort of damage out of him.

@Liam Engram I'd take your and Andrew's points if it wasn't for the fact that (according to the S.T.A.R. bot on the official Paladins subreddit page) 95.513% of 312 Ranked players using Bomb King on Keyboard-only are using Royal Subjects. The fact that Andrew only mentioned Chain Reaction and not Accelerant, alongside Accelerant's 1.603% usage rate for the same focus group and the fact that Royal Subjects got an ammo nerf vs an AoE nerf (i.e. a 'zoning and area denial' nerf), hints that there's a heavy Bomb King talent meta related to the ease of landing bombs. Edit: Similar usage rates existed as far back as v4.1.

​​​@@laxattack4620 People don't like using accelerant in higher ranked games because accelerant builds are only useful when trolling casuals or lower ranked lobbies. Even with Grumpy Bomb spam and a shorter timer it's really only useful for zoning off one side of the point in certain maps and against less experienced players. More experienced players are going to start buying resil the second they see the build, and will have a better mastery of their champion's movement abilities to escape the shortened timer. The reason he only mentioned chain reaction is because in higher ELO lobbies it's the only other talent that is even remotely useful. Even then it's highly situational. Got a Yago as off tank, a less mobile dps like Tyra, and a less mobile flank like Lex? Go for it. But good luck sticking mutliple bombs on shielded or mobile tanks, more mobile DPS, and especially highly mobile flanks like Evie, Vatu, Vora, Koga, Andro, and Maeve - or damage denial flanks like Zhin, Moji, Talus, and Skye. Basically the only flank you're gonna be able to stick multiple bombs to on a regular basis is a below average Lex. Everyone else wins that 1v1 if they have any skill. At that point you basically picked the talent to trap corners with 6 bombs.
