That noise is perfectly normal and that’s being caused by the propeller since it doesn’t have water to lube it from metal to metal

The spark is awesome! Remember to look out the coolant level, it has a closed loop cooling system and also the oil level. The sound is normal, the vibration of the engine makes the impeller and nozzle sound like that.

Super Normal Sound. Besides the crack, it was a steal of a deal. That sound is no water lubrications for the propellers so it was basically clanking metal to metal.

To answer your question. They are very reliable engines. I see many here in Minnesota with 1k-2k hours running strong. If you keep up on maintenance they will last a very long time. The hulls are easy to work on and replace plus you can still get every part for that machine.

I bought a spark trixx for 2. To do an oil change I suggest letting the dealer do it as you have to take the top part of the haul off. When doing a flush remember to turn on the engine first and then turn the water. When turning it off turn off the water first and then the engine. Engine sounds great. $5500 is a give away for it.

Hey guy's had a 2014 Sea-Doo GTI-SE 130 thing was amazing. The pump noise out of water is normal. Dont run it more then 30 second to 1 minute out of the water. Always check the impeller for debris. Use the drain plug to get all the extra water out. Give it a good once over with maintenance and fix your hull issue and you should hopefully be good to go out on the water. One last thing not all states require it but at least her in NYS we have to have a boating license or be in the company of someone with a boater license in order to operate a Sea-Doo or it could be a fine. As always wear a life jacket for safety and attach the key to it as added precaution...looks like a good buy though so far!

Sounds perfect but you gave me a heart attack when you turned it off before the water can’t stress that enough you will flood the motor if you turn off the water after the Seadoo

Owned a spark since they came out in 14’. That noise is completely normal when out of water, it takes regular gas (that’s what the Rotax are rated for and yes very reliable).. I would check the hull for any damages that is most likely the biggest reason why it was written off.. a few other things, don’t ever jump the battery it’ll damage the ECU, check the wear ring (if you suck up any rocks it’ll damage it and the spark won’t run) it is very easy to replace, but definitely check this and the bottom hull before you put it in the water. The middle red button is to to cycle through modes (hours, RPM, speed) and if you press it for 2 seconds (while in the water) then followed by a second press you will get into sport mode which will let you rev it a lot faster and whatnot. The top speed of the 90HP version is 50mph so if it’s not reaching that then you have a problem and will need to pull the top deck off (it’s not like a conventional jet ski where you have simple access to the engine bay by removing the seat), if you remove the seat on the spark it’ll only access the fire extinguisher. Also yours seems to have a comfort seat ($300 value!) right on guys, great deal and keep up the good work.

That sounds absolutely normal. You can get some components for it to make it much more fun. This is the Spark, but they also have what's called a Spark Trixx. It has a few extras and graphics. Foot pedals in the back and an extended Variable Trim System will allow you to do Wheelies on the water. They can all be added on as separate components that you buy and install yourself. It likely was in an accident (the cracks) and the insurance company scrapped it.

If you don't know why this was returned and was cheap, then DON'T trust the gas that's in it. Especially since you are seeing so much mud. If may have been inverted or submerged and even though the gas tank is a sealed system, water can still get in there through the filler tube when inverted. Also - get a heat welder from Harbor Freight to fix that crack - its super easy to do. There's too much stress there for JB Weld. The side panels are not available individually, the replacement would be the entire top deck. It's a LOT of work to replace a top deck because of everything you have to swap over.

A suggestion on repairing that cracked black trim piece. Since it is modular, just remove it and do the majority of the repair on the back side. Good luck.

Not sure if anyone said this yet but you want to flush out the system after each ride, when you do that you want to turn the seadoo on first then the water and let it run for 90-120 seconds. Afterwards you want to turn the water off then the seadoo so you do not flood the engine 👍🏻

The amount of 2 year old jet ski that are already trashed especially seadoo sparks is a lot. People don't take care of these and they ruin them. Glad you got one that looks pretty good and starts up. Not that seadoo sparks are bad, it is just people don't do the maintenance on them.
