Hi, I’ve just watched your story from the start , very inspirational , and great watching, I’ve just done a two day introduction to sailing at Plas Menai north Wales on their 38 ft yacht, great experience, and loved it, can I ask you, did you start sailing at a local club before you began your adventures, as I’m looking at the best way for me to move forward into sailing , Regards J Please keep the vids coming. Great tv 😊

Hi thank you for the comments. I sailed as a kid in toppers at a club and my parents had a snapdragon 26 but apart from that I started with the comp crew course and then the day skippers. I joined a club so that I had more experienced people around me and it worked out well as met a great guy I became friends with and he has been helping me gain experience. I’ve found that the sailing world is a great community and people are likely to help you when you ask for it. I would recommend taking the courses and doing some mile builders which is a great way to gain some sailing miles and experience.

As mentioned why no life jackets. 'COLD WATER SHOCK' remember you, or your crew end up in the water.

What was your reasoning for not having a marine survey? Personally, I would want a survey on a new factory boat if I am to sail uk waters in it

@@RockyRacoon66 I was very inexperienced when I bought the boat and was told by the owner that it would require me to pay for a new copper coat if I had a survey done, later I discovered this was not correct and there would have been no need to remove the copper coat for the inspection

Any boat that is for sale is going cheap, will have a certain amount of work on it. However the plus side is that once the work has been completed, you still got a cheap boat. My Columbia 27 to buy, cost $ 4000 .00 aud The inboard motor is sized was mentioned in the ad so i just bought an 9.9 long shaft Yamaha outboard for $650. plus an bracket $70.00 and that's not all. All $300.00 aud on an basic solar panel small battery to recharge my phone. I will do an intro vlog over the weekend just had an run of some bad weather but starting to come good, so this weekend will be my first vlog on my boat.

as new sailors it would be great to see you starting off by getting into the good practice of wearing life jackets #uselessunlessworn

Liam you are absolutely correct with that one and from now on they will be on. Little note for the next episode 👍
