WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!! The Start of a New Renovation Project

It's finally time to share the exciting news with all of you - we bought our first home together! This has been in the works for awhile and it has finally come to fruition. It's a new chapter for Bianca and I and a new chapter for the channel. Expect a ton more DIY content and we also plan to share a bit more of the behind the scenes that go on between projects. We are super excited to take on this project and share it with all of you!

Yayy Im super excited to see the renovations for this home. This home has great bones! I love the framing on the walls like in the living and dining area. I would love to see the landscaping videos as well! I’m in the market to purchase a home out in the west side so it’s super expensive. I would love to see how you transform this fixer-upper into something amazing so I could incorporate some of these ideas as well haha.

Literally just binged your entire lake house playlist over the weekend. I have to say, (although I know it was your thing) Im really glad you got rid of the clap transition every minute or so. It got to the point that I kept a finger on the right arrow key to skip that part every time lol. Sorry XD... And I'm very glad to see that instead you've grown as a creator and have found new and innovative ways to do transitions, Such as in this video with the back-and-forth between you and Bianca. Looks like a fun projector! 😄 I would rip down the kitchen walls and add a wall to close in the way down to the basement so that you keep the entrance that you have now. That way you have a open and Nice kitchen but you dont need to go into the kitchen to go to the basement. Also basements leak cold air so its Nice to have door so that it doesnt chill down the house 😊

I had to look why that livingroom is so big seeing the video where you show the transformation. Stunning job gus. I live the xolor oallette, its so soothing and calm. Ps the carpet in that house is just plain weird, looks 70+89s. Yet what baffles me, it still looks like its a inch that ck. Ehat is that stuff?

Ps, why is it called upstairs, when it looks like it's just 1.5 meter higher? From the video it looks like there's is nothing above the dining area and the connect room? Particular floor planning in this house. Must be old

Checking the start of the video, how can there be even a "second level". From the exterior it looks like a single floor house. Yet the second floor has flat ceilings jg, not clear view to the roof. Does that mean when you enter the house, you actually lower first? Edit I'm European, so I'm not very familiar with USA housing styles. I guess the backend of the house is higher vs the front part. We just don't see that from the opening shot. I'm used to 2-3 level house from Europe. Rows of house, all the same. Not much people have single standing home. They are there but cost a small fortune

We both used to work full time as accountants and did this on the side. Now Grant works on GKD full time and Bianca still works as an accountant

White walls but I think you should an accent wall with a pop of color? Maybe something neutral--like grey-blue or sage green? Or, an accent wall in black...maybe in the formal dinning area?
