I make parts for this combine, the center support arm that's right in the middle for the head that you can see in the drivers seat there's 33% chance I made that one you own, perfect video to show people where assemblies I make end up 👍 but the plant I work we also make a portion of that ladder you had issues with as well 😅

For most of my farming career I drove an open station combine ,it was dusty and hot and you had terrible sinus all day from the dusts and it was very itchy .That X9 is a beautiful machine and I would think it's a dream come true to operate one .

So I was combining side by side with a 780 Lexion and me in an old Twin Rotor New Holland. Stayed right with it the entire night in the heaviest canola crop I have ever combined. $50K combine with the same capacity in that crop as an $800K combine. Crazy! Let's all admit the New Holland had a great idea that the X9 has now gone to. Twin rotary design.
@Americanfarmer750
@Americanfarmer750 Жыл бұрын
You aren't keeping up with a 780 in tough grinding conditions. Canola thrashes easy. Put it in a head small grain crop or go chew 200 bushel corn and show me the sample and loss between the 2. I've owned a 750 legion for 10 years. Nothing compares.
@Hoserfishing
@Hoserfishing Жыл бұрын
@@Americanfarmer750 Like I said same capacity in that crop. Now that should be somewhat amazing to any farmer who just spent $800K vs $50K the farmer I combined beside was blown away that was for sure. Any experienced farmer knows a rotary can't compete in tough conditions. That goes without saying??
@Americanfarmer750
@Americanfarmer750 Жыл бұрын
It's not a 800k combine!!! The new series are that much. Your comparing a 780 that is all of 7 years old. Lexion isn't just a rotor combine it aps, traditional cylinder with impeller and 2 rotors. Check your facts
@Hoserfishing
@Hoserfishing Жыл бұрын
@@Americanfarmer750 Actually get your facts...I asked the farmer what he paid for it and it was $800K or I wouldn't have said so. While you are at it learn to read. I said a rotary can't compete in tough conditions and was referring to the New Holland not the Lexion which I happen to help fix in the field so I know exactly why it is better in tough conditions.

There is no doubt that the X9 has capacity in small grains as PAMI in Sask, Canada proved getting 60% higher capacity in side by side testing against JD previous biggest best model. Having said that all manufacturers are struggling with quality control and a downright shortage of quality workers building these machines. X9's are great once set up by experienced properly trained personnel but they have been having quite a few growing pains getting there.

Look forward to seeing the new head cut on the ground in flex mode for beans. Dont see how it can work as good as a hydraflex. Lots of people run them ridgid even in beans because they dont have the float figured out. Drop the cutterbar and its just dead weight.

Got a Hd45f last fall, absolute nightmare in beans. We don't have the back gauge wheels on ours, don't know if that would have helped or not. Think we had 4 different techs from different locations try to figure it out and never could get it right. Ended up locking cutterbar rigid and taking pressure off the wings to the point the very outside was leaving beans but the only way we could get it to float. Didnt bother trying before noon, we were done before the sun went down. Supposedly they've solved the problem but we've yet to get a call about what to update/change
@stirv6462
@stirv6462 Жыл бұрын
@@lukevenghaus903 yep, that's what I've heard as well. We have one coming for fall and I don't see how it'll even work. I talked to dealers in Canada and they said don't buy the flex, you won't use it. The ridgid portion can act just like a macdon, where the float is controlled but once you drop the cutterbar it's just dead weight. I called Dave Moline at deere to ask about it and he treated me like a shithead and said I don't even know what you're talking about. They know.

@@ethanschultz960 Not entirely. I have both. The HDF is far more convenient with the float mechanisms being hydraulic. Just zero setup and adjustable from the cab. But the macdon is better I'd say overall. Getting short beans getting more beans the macdon wins. Deere wings really drop nicer, the wing balance never quite let's our macdon drop. The deere drops as it should.

This farmer's criticism of his new piece of equipment, I'm embarrassed to now admit these many years later, reminds me of back in the day when I had to fork over a big chunk of money for a new, much needed piece of equipment and I kind of got even with the company that sold me the "overpriced" equipment by complaining and insisting that everything be "corrected" and made "perfect" which was what everything was pretty much anyway, and again, I am now embarrassed to admit. The point is that "maybe" the problem is not so much with the new X9 but the cost of the new X9 that this young farmer is still having trouble getting used to? I'm laughing and snickering at this "kid" and his new "overpriced" toy, but I'm also laughing and snickering at a much younger, more foolish me. Then again, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, and he should just send the thing back and get a refund?

I assume you are joking but outer rows do better because of more access to sunlight. There have been farmers experimenting with strip cropping at various times over the years, we did it for about 10 years in a few fields and found it did increase corn yields but cut bean yields in the adjacent strips and is not very compatible with modern large equipment. We were 6 row ridge till and no till at the time.

@@999pr1 I am not joking. Downtown urban trees grow faster that rural trees. They need carbon dioxide which is more plentiful near our streets and rosds.

Agree with the More Sunlight and Intercrop planting method of corn and soybeans. They often discuss it on “Total Acre Farming” on RFD TV. More carbon dioxide from cars likely does cause trees to grow faster in cities, but rural farmland does not receive the high concentration of CO2 emissions like you would find along densely populated city streets.

The X series is a joke, John Deere guys are bragging about production levels that the competition has had for almost 20 years. They ran the x-series against lexion and in typical fashion it wasn't the biggest lexion but it did a better sample had less loss use less fuel, and I can guarantee you the cost of operation would be much less for maintenance and repair. John Deere builds the worst combines in the industry. The sts stands for shity thrashing system. With the two German combine the John Deere was the easiest combine the demo again. Whenever a Salesman said hey can you meet me here on this date I'm doing a demo against the John Deere I laughed and couldn't wait to get there. Their cost of operation, their longevity of the combine, the fuel used and then the horrible grain tank sample and high losses.

Your comment isn’t factual. JD number 1 in the world. Farmers are smart and won’t buy so many JD if they are as bad as you falsely claim. PAMI test is very objective and contradicts everything you said. Best dealers too. Nothing Runs Like A Deere.

@yougotmossed3592 The 595 is well over 10 years before the X9 came to Market and has been putting out them kind of performance numbers. At the Farm Progress show, which is North America's Big Show, John Deere people ran against the Lexicon people, and the lexion performed better. Check your facts again. Claas is the worldwide leader in combine sales. John Deere is built-in obsolescence . The 9610 will still be going strong long after the x9s are patched up welded up made in China and Korea parts
