The Mexican states that you can register a vehicle on a tourist visa are:
✅Sinaloa
✅Nayarit
✅Guanajuato
✅Guerrero

When we went through this process we had such a hard time finding detailed information on how we could get this process done. So we had to make a video and share everything we learned.
Finding the bike, scooter, or motorcycle you want to buy is the easy part, getting it street-legal can be a bit confusing. Each state has different laws regarding what is required to purchase and register a vehicle in Mexico.
Some states require you to have permanent residency, while others only request a Mexican Driver’s Licencse and proof of address. Then there are a handful of states that allow you to register a vehicle, car, or moto in Mexico with only a tourist visa.
