Have a 7 pin outlet, installed in the side of your bed, so your cord isn't having to reach the one, by your hitch. I would remove the tailgate when hauling the camper. Congratulations!!

Shorten up your rubber stoppers that are against cab and you will probably be able to close your tail gate.

There are tie downs that are attached to the camper that you put down onto the hooks in the bed of your truck. There's no drilling. There's no mess. There's no fuss. It's very easy. Very convenient and so far it appears to be very secure. It's very easy on easy off

I have the exact same Dodge 2500 Ram. I want to be able to close the tailgate. Is there a Camper that allows me to do that?

In the Soaring Eagle line the 5.0 should work with the tail gate closed. Every other camper we looked at was bigger and heavier and because we tow the weight of the camper was a consideration. We were disappointed we could not close the tailgate but it seems to work okay.
