I purchased and named the house Casa Las Palmas in 1996, turned it into the House of the Month, it's destroying to see the devastating state of it today. Every detail was carefully thought through as I work as a commercial interior designer, I built the pool which was the biggest in the area, fenced the property, just heart breaking to see the neglect and all the beautiful plants I planted ruined, where have all the Jacaranda trees gone? I still have the TV video of House of the Month. So very sad to see this.

Because the house would have been in escrow, so they technically bought it but they have to wait for the finance to be approved before it's final. So they had an open house and other offers in line in case their sale fell through

Congrats Guys. You will do an amazing job on the Reno’s! Lucky you are in QLD it’s so much easier to secure a house where there is a bit of interest in QLD compared to other states. Just a thought if you do any more properties in the future maybe keep it to yourself for a bit longer or work with an agent to buy something off market that the details aren’t all over the internet. From the first day you posted about looking at the house on your IG story and showed the Real Estate Agents business card it was very easy to track down due to how distinctive this house is.

Same thing happened to us when we brought our home. We knew the people who lived here and we put an offer in which they excepted straight away under finance. But the realestate still “had to” go ahead with the open house and where taking offers down when I was already sold. Most stressful time of my life but happy now !
