I'd say $215 with the cleaning, ram, ssd and warranty. This would be a good starter pc or even a good pc for a person who games little or just plays less demanding games. Great video.

I'd let this puter go for $175. You should be close to breaking even and it gives someone a chance to get into the PC market. Also a good deal now on some older parts will hopefully bring back a customer when they want to upgrade or build.

I'd say roughly 200 would be a good start point. Maybe even a little less. Personally, if I was able to monetize/sponsor the video on it, I would probably let it go for 150-175. Thoughts being that it could get somebody into PC gaming, and if you offer a good enough deal, you will be the first person they will think of when it comes to upgrading/replacing.

I used to work for a pc refurbishing company and this is how they packed their refurbished pc's. I was the only tech support but also did customer service and the amount of pc's that we had to replace cause they refused to package things correctly for the longest time. not to mention they refused to replace the thermal paste or change out the bios batteryfor these old 12 year old pcs and yes I checked they were manufactured 12 years back when i was working there. eventually quit the place was just ripping folks off essentially

Sometimes if you install a Windows Pro setup on a PC that had Windows Home version it won't activate, but if you hit troubleshoot sometimes it will tell you that it has a key tied to it just not the version you installed. I've had to do that a few times because I always use Pro version on new installs. If there is a Home key tied to the motherboard though you just have to wipe and reinstall Home version.

Changing the timing belt on an old car may cost $500 but it doesn't increase the price of the car by the same amount. The same with this PC, whatever you do, the price doesn't increase to more than the price of the used video card inside

I use a hair dryer on low at the base of my cooler. This seems to prevent the cooler to stay stuck to the cooler. Which are aftermarket coolers that attach to themselves with adapter rings or other ways that screw into the socket bracket, or its own back plate. Deepcool 400 uses the clips on the side of CPU bracket.

The interesting thing I noticed in Fortnite you guy's were only using maybe 50% of the gpu power while maintaining roughly 80 cpu. Im sure you guys already understand, would be interesting if there's a way for you to become fully gpu bound, I wonder if the game would of had less stutters had you of been 99-100% gpu bound. Interesting results for sure 🙏🤟

I'd love to see the same setup with 16gb of ram; also in my experience you can overclock FX setups to 4.6 Ghz + to get rid of the microstutters. Idk what it is with these chips but the overclock helps significantly in frame smoothing.
@JinghisKhan
@JinghisKhan Жыл бұрын
I would say $200 or so. You got some content out of it, and the parts in there just have no upgrade path whatsoever so whoever buys this will just be holding on to a DDR3 FX machine with an old GPU for extremely light gaming and some daily use. If this were even a 1st Gen Ryzen machine or a slightly more modern Intel machine, I'd say you could go higher, but not with this configuration.

You guys should do a video on what happens when you pair old and new pc parts aswell as what happens when you pair high end with low end parts like a old i5 4070k with rtx 3080 or ryzen 5 5 5600x and rtx 4070
@phoenixaz4156
@phoenixaz4156 Жыл бұрын
With i5 4th you get CPU bottleneck means the GPU won't get utilized 100% But with the Ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 4070 is pretty fine. You can Play all the game on 1440p max setting and fully utilize the rtx 4070 👌

Great video but first thing I'd like to suggest is, on every single second hand build, the FIRST thing you must do is reset the BIOS, 100%. Just remove power cord, press the power button for about 15 seconds and try again. Either that or remove the cmos battery for 15 minutes and then try again, I'm almost sure that a good ol' cmos reset would've solved this issue from the beginning!
@tonybarden8563

removing power cord and pressing button will not reset the cmos, thats the very reason they fit a battery to keep bios settings you have to remove battery or use the clr cmos jumper
