A great video guys! Came across you when searching for sea trials for various fishers I'm interested in - and just loved to see you and your family enjoying it to the full! Less sunshine and blue sea here in the UK, but we have our moments, Thanks and keep posting.

Brilliant video. I have a MF695 series 1 2015. Was tempted by a new one, but decided pre-owned with 200hrs on the engine, at half the price was too good to turn down! 150hp Suzuki takes her to 35 knots on a calm day. Love the boat and have had some wonderful days out on her since I bought her exactly one year ago (in spite of Covid....). Now I just need to learn to catch fish!

Hey Andrew, I hear ya, we just missed out on the series 2 as well, as ours is a 2019. We also purchased it last year and had a wonderful season on her. Our best boats so far :-) We are 30 days away from launching for the season and can't wait. Wishing you a great summer as well.

My 795 Fisher is coming next week. Can you make a video on how you beach your boat? Thanks
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Hi Trung, congrats on getting a 795 and thank you for your question. Anchoring is most likely everyone's concern and challenge, even for the more seasonned sailors as every situation is slitely different. I just finished my vacation yesterday so I am not sure when I will be able to make a video for anchoring, but I will do my best. In the meantime, feel free to follow us on Instagram at ChassingSunsets71 and message me there. I will be happy to give you some tricks that I have learnt. Thanks, Yvan.

Thanks for watching Chris, part of the reason I made the videos as I could not find much real life video (all sales walk through) Let me know if you have any questions ok 👍

I've enjoyed your 695 videos and initially ordered a new 695 but changed it to a 795 series 2 but it's around an 11 month wait for a new Jeanneau boat and yamaha outboards are currently in short supply. The 795 isn't much bigger and the same layout as yours. Thanks again for the videos that showed normal people using the boat rather than sales type videos. I'm in the UK and my boat will be moored on the river Thames near Windsor Castle.

Probably a wise choice to go for the 795....sorry you have to wait so long. I am getting mine back on the 17th of this month, so the winter wait is almost over. Thanks for watching the videos, the whole idea was to share the stoke and give a real user perspective as most of the videos out there are indeed from dealers. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Sick video, just wondering how it performs in rougher seas?? Keep it up!!
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Oscar, planning on making lots more videos starting with the season next month. The Merry Fisher 695 can handle good waves but at a trawler speed at 7 knots or so. She simply plows through with stability. If you are looking to go fast, she will slam pretty hard unless you are going with the waves. Thanks for the question.

Hi great video i am looking to buy the same boat what are the negatives about the boat thanks u
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Hi Luwis, thanks for watching and great question 👍 1) The first thing I noticed, was the noise of the water hitting the hull while at cruising speed. (When choppy) 2) Water slapping can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep at anchor. Need to choose your Anchorage carefully so that the water is dead calm. 3) This boat goes amazing well will the waves at cruising speed but not against it, so you will need to slowdown to 7 or 8 knots when it is choppy or rough. This is to be expected in a 22' boat though. It does take the waves really good at the slow speeds. 4) Engine is quite at low speeds but can resonate in the cabin when cruising fast. (Simply close the door and all is good) All abd all this is a fun boat, with amazing option for a 22' boat. We love the cabin, it keeps us nice and warm in the shoulder season and some shade when too hot. Super easy to trailer and single handedly put in the water or to take it out. I would definitely add the bow truster, it makes everything much easier. Feel free to follow us on Instagram at chasingsunsets71. Cheers mate 👊

Hello brother. May I ask you how does this boat perform with the 150. What's the top speed and at what speed do you usually cruise at. Wish you the best !!!
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick, I find she performs very well. Plenty of power even when fully loaded with people and gear. She will go 35 to 37 knots but usually cruise at 22. She is a sweet boat that can handle the seas at slow speed or zip around when nice and flat. Cheers mate 👊

Great video. Will be getting my mf695 delivered this coming May. Can’t wait. Just curious...what chart plotter did u have installed on your boat? Was that a 9 or 12 inch size? Thanks
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Hey, tks, wish I had taken the time for more wide screen footage most of my footage was verticle for IG stories. I am sure you will enjoy it, it will be great for your fishing videos. All I used for now is a tablet with Navionics but will update it to a all in one Chart plotter, depth sounder etc and keep the tablet as a back up. Cheers!

@@ChasingSunsets thanks for the reply. I meant on ur helm right now. From ur video I can see ur screen ... what size is that? 9 or 12inch?
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
It is a 9" tablet.
@fishingdotcom92803 жыл бұрын
@@ChasingSunsets Hey mate... hope you don't mind me asking more questions... 1. Is 9 inch screen enough for the boat? 2. Bow thruster... I see you installed one. Is it required? What's ur opinion? Thanks
@ChasingSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Hey, not a problem bud. 1) 9" works great but the bigger the better just not sure how much bigger you could go. Are you getting a series 2 695? If so, I think the console is bigger. The bow trust was from factory and it is a game changer, I highly recommend it. These boats cache in the wind easily and the bow trust helps for docking and also makes it easy to get on the trailer. I often boat alone, so it is handy.
