I'm 273 lbs 🙂 on my GT in the best case scenario on a full charge I get around 14 miles, and if I buy a GT-S looks like my range will be around 10 miles or so, do I really want to spend $3,500+ for 10-miles range board? that's a good question 😡, and the sucks part is you cannot add a range booster to GT/GT-S like I did to my VESC 😉👍

@@samnation9887 My GT with all mods cost me well over $4k and I'm okay with that, money is not an issue, since I started running VESC and it's a much better setup than GT, and now my GT collecting dust. The GT-S must be much better than my VESC or I won't even consider buying it, but I can already tell that the GT-S will never have more range than my VESC.

Say what you will about board/brand performance comparisons and FM as a company but that GTS right out of the box is a BEAUTIFUL looking machine. Floatwheels are a great addition to the market but they’ve got not nothin on Onewheels in the stock looks department, imo.

The blacked out look with the pop of blue; the new tire looks awesome; and the new footpads look better too. My overall point was that FM Onewheels look good in general. The XR, the pint, the GT, etc. all look good. The Floatwheel is a bit meh in the looks department.

Curious if TFL is planning any aftermarket support for Floatwheels? I'm planning on getting a new board for next season here, but I'm kinda torn between getting a Floatwheel or building up a Superflux XR/wtf board simply because of the current availability of addons.

Hopefully one day they will wise up and realize they can't control everything. Much like any other hobby like motorcycling, rc cars, whatever it may be. Customizing, modifying, improving, and making it truly yours is something everyone can relate to. As someone who lives outside the US, I dread the day I ever need to repair my onewheel. Hence why they've also driven me to look to other, more consumer friendly options that I can repair at home.

Surprised they only use 2.5 amps to charge this thing. I charge my RC car batteries at 10 amps, and they're only 11.1 volts. Of course they are also lithium-polymer (vs lithium-ion).

No, for one reason. The float wheel uses vesc, which means you xan adjust your board in lutsralky every way possiblle. Including top output and speed. Volts are electrical pressure, AMOS are flow of electrons.. I laymen volts is not everything.

Yes, Floatwheel ADV in its current configuration definitely prioritizes torque over top speed. The torque difference between the two, especially low end, is likely no contest. But even with the beefier motor on the Floatwheel, GTS likely tops out a bit higher than the Floatwheel does, even with the Floatwheel configured with fairly aggressive field Weakening. I would guess 30mph on ADV is about equivalent to 35mph or so on GTS, maybe a tad less. Just a speculative guess though
