We bring Edvard Munch to you: Guided tour at Ekely

Join us for a relaxing art break, where one of the museum’s art educators guides you through Edvard Munch’s property at Ekely. He lived here for the last 28 years of his life, from 1916 until 1944, and it was rumoured that he had become a hermit. But is this really true?
We will explore the arbour and the garden, where the colours and light inspired him; walk inside his Winter Studio and look at some paintings that deal with the different themes Munch explored at Ekely, such as melancholy and loneliness.

very thoughtful. I'd like how the tone really slowed down as you went inside, I imagine there is a real atmosphere of that place, especially inside. Perhaps certain feelings come to the surface, feelings which Munch had himself... Good vid.

His painting style was way ahead of his time maybe he distanced himself from people who just didn't get him if I lived in that place I wouldn't go out either
