Not when they gave a man that needed money a horrible price, he brought in a one ounce gold eagle, tested it and gave the man $400 under spot. It is on or was on a video from last summer when spot was $2000 per oz and he gave the man $1600. I was so disappointed. A coin shop would have at least given him spot if not a few bucks over. Unfortunately it was after they purchased a counterfeit coin…. I understand pawn shops aren’t always going to give a premium and may pay $20 under spot but $400 is sad..

As an older guy, I buy coins that I like. My kids aren't really interested in coins, so when the time comes, I will sell everything. I enjoy the hobby and wish I would have started earlier in my life. I enjoyed this video.

Same here, saved change for years but only in my 40s did I discover coins as a collectable. and have down sized two times overheating high end coins (1920, 27 peace dollars in ms65, 21 peace dollar in ms65+), draped coins partial set, full Indian set etc...as all things profitable or collectable it would have been great to start from day one or 50 years previous....I enjoy the my grandsons will inf3rit whatever I have left be it a full peace dolla4 set 65 and better oral single double eagle wire rim, disme or tree shilling set....time is the big leveller and limiter.

The best thing about a video like this is listening to dealers engaging in “shop talk” which gives those of us who are only collectors a lot of interesting “insider” perspectives about the hobby and how dealers think.

Love the videos and love that you came to Northeast Ohio and did a video in Warren with a store. Also you’re the type of guys other industries need, wanting to help others get into selling/collecting and not holding back secrets or trying to sell your knowledge for a premium. I’ve noticed a lot of old dealers not wanting to educate or really help the younger generation. I’ve heard comments like you should know what you’re wanting to buy or were not here to teach you what coins are key dates. When I heard that I walked out. It’s also unfortunate that I also hear that a lot on What Not but people like you guys and coin help u are amazing and help a lot of people understand coins.

Just bought a couple of coins on your website. Anxiously waiting for them to arrive. I was surprised by the very fair prices you’re selling your stuff for. We don’t have a LCS anywhere close by, so it’s nice to browse a nice variety of stuff online from folks I can trust.
