I bought a 320i in 2001, I was thinking about a 327i conversion. Stronger engine -> stronger gearbox (Getrag 240 weak) + stronger differential (20i diff weak) + bigger brakes Expensive project. I still have my 2 doors 20i with sports interior (318is) with 40% LSD (25i - big differential). It's a hobby car. I will never sell it.

I got one too but due to budget lol I’m on the process I got the engine tear down now and going to get the manual transmission out but little by little will be put together

Should be a 2,5l with 84mm bore. 2l have 80mm, u would need about 95mm stroke to get 2.9L

Are stroker motors reliable?

[@RegalAutosport]

No less reliable than a stock engine really, although in saying that, generally, anything with increased output will have a lower longevity than something which is stock. So if you want reliable like stock, keep it stock - once you tune anything, longevity is reduce. To quantity that isn't always possible.
