Oh Sean, I’ve also got a meniscal tear .... six months along and it’s getting there - I have days with no pain where I can do anything, the days when it’s really stiff and painful - but it’s slowly getting better. Hope you mend well

new project ? no how about the train barn ? Shaun I know how bad that knee problem is, just take it easy and the best exercise is swimming in a heated pool (if you have access to one) or relax in a nice hot bath, take care and stay dry.

@@FoxesAfloat having issues with my ankle and knee, I had my partner do all the physical work to get my layout and the room for my train layout done, I sat in a office chair that has wheels and did the track work, wiring and scenery all while sitting down. I have no idea how far you got with the train barn project.

Cor blimey! I can't even hang a picture without it being a disaster! My only Owl story is once I was driving home along a back lane when I used to live in a more rural village than where I live now, and something in a tree to the right of me caught my eye. I slowed and opened my window to look! Three wise owls were looking back at me, perhaps more startled than I was to see them! It was one of those magic moments in life, absolutely beautiful to see! ( I have just heard the bit about owls being solitary! With my hand on my heart, three owls were on a couple of branches, just looking back at me! Maybe it was mating season, I do not know!)

The build is really impressive and full of, now hidden, smart constructions, compliments to Shaun. And it only cost him one knee? 😰 Wasn't there a song long ago about How do you like your wood in the morning? In Dutch your owl goes by the common name Oehoe, pronounced Oohoo, probably after the sound owls make. More about owls: one of my favourite short stories or fables is James Thurber's The Owl Who Was God, very funny and very true.

Sherlock is really pretty. I know he is really happy with his new home. Sorry to see that Sean has torn a meniscus. It can be fairly easily fixed which entails just shaving and smoothing out the torn area. Fairly easy and quick surgery. Just takes some time to rehab from the surgery. GOOD LUCK TO YOU !!!
