We built everything wrong...

The circuit we built in the last video was wrong. Also, the circuit we built two videos ago was also wrong. Here we fix everything and move on by FINALLY programming the digits 0 to 9 into our eeprom.

1. Unless otherwise stated, a computer's output will be either HIGH or LOW. Only an "open collector" output will be floating. So your pull-up resistor on the input to the capacitor should be unnecessary since that side will be tied high until the pin is sent low under program control. 2. If both sides of the capacitor are connected to the same side of the power supply, then there is not a positive charge on both sides but actually no charge on either side since the two sides are effectively shorted together via the positive supply rail. But all that being said, your circuit works anyway because it's "close enough" for most practical purposes. You did a nice job of debugging. :)

Correct again although if I were to redo the explanation I think I'd say what you said but keep the diagram the same because the syncing current is the important part to demonstrate.
