My dad an I fished in a boat like that during a thunderstorm once.. we had 60 mph winds and frantically raced to shore.. lightning over your head with waves coming into a tiny John boat with 60 mph winds is a bit scary.. and that was the second storm that day to try and scare us off. The third one finally succeeded though.. and we never caught a single fish! Nice memory for us both from around 2005 or so ago.

@FishingWithYakPak I never fished with a bait caster. Do left handers buy a reel with the crank on the left while right handers buy reels with the crank on the right?

@@rikijett310 I think it’s pretty much preference I am right handed but fish with the reel on the left but I know many of people that are right handed and use right handed reels and it’s the same thing for left handed people

@@rikijett310 with baitcasting or spinning, your dominant hand should be casting and holding the rod. I'm right handed so my left hand always reels. Reeling takes less strength, so it would be weird to use your weaker arm to cast with, or control the fish. Having to switch the rod back and forth every cast is annoying as heck. If you cast right handed get a baitcaster with a left side reel handle.

You can do it for 5 bucks. Buy line, hook, sinker. Dig up worms, catch crickets, etc. Cut a limb if you ain't got bamboo. Bam. Fish. That's how we did it growing up

maybe try another kid picks the lures but you take the kid fishing and both of you have to use the same baits at the same time ... once you catch a fish you need to change to the next lure, first to catch fish on every lure "wins" all the tackle left ... good show!

Yeah Yamamoto sold... And yes! You are getting less baits. I believe they took out 2 on average. But, that could just be on certain baits. I knew something was up when the package changed from the traditional Japanese art to the modern font logo and color change. Not sure they are made the same either... No way to tell now. Give it a couple yrs. we shall see if the quality holds up to the Name they bought.
