All african goverments can help their people, they just dont. And thats the misery of africa. And there is always someone throwing other excuses aswel to gaslight or gain virtue points. Especially now with african countries, once again, giving their resources away for free to a certain asian superpower who in return build cheap roads and hospitals wich are also laced with spyware. Huge props for what he's doing, it's having an insane impact. This isn't criticism but just a grain of reality. His teamseas was great, but it didn't do very much. More waste has been dumped into the ocean the very next day than the entire operation cleaned up. Not to say it's in vain, just being aware that the issues aren't going away from one time solutions. These wells for example solve the issue temporarily. At some point they either dry up or break. One could only hope by then there's a stable political climate that's able to invest into renewal. This all to say; while these things make a big difference on a smaller scope. It also highlights the importance of a basic level of government to sustain these improvements.

I'm from Cameroon and I have to say thank you for this amazing work, however it shouldn't distract us from the fact water projects have been set up by my government many times and have always failed to execute because of very corrupt politicians at the top serving their best interest. My mom works in one of the ministries in Camerron and is the 4th ranked to the minister in her ministry and they haven't been able to execute any projects in the last 9 months due to the funds never showing up plus their salaries and bonuses get delayed for 6 months to years in some cases. So you can tell the corruption startes from the very top. It's sad this is the world many Afrcans live in not because we're poor but because of corruption, so thank you Mr Beast for doing the governments work because the leaders have embezzled all the money.
