Next time do the out-n-back to Dardanelles Lake--gorgeous! And if you have a shuttle, you can start all the way up at Luther Pass, then drop Scotts Lake to Big Meadow to Xmas Valley. And go to Divided Sky in Myers for food/beer. It's the best!

I just did the The Flume Trail up there a couple weeks ago....what a gorgeous view of the Lake from up at top.....wish I could post my photo of it. Looking forward to doing it again and finding some of the trails your guys rode there. Thanks!!

I live about 45 minutes from Tahoe so it’s cool to see you guys passing through! Just got back into biking a couple months ago and have been meaning to get up there and do some riding this Summer! This trail is way past my skill level, but it’s still hyping me up to do some Tahoe rides haha. Great video as always!

I was just in North Tahoe / Truckee. I had only ridden South Tahoe before and I highly encourage you to head to the North side when you get a chance. Soil is much more loamy there. The trail from King's beach up to Rim trail is awesome.

There's a trail nearby the fireroad to the little lake you were at. then the meadow and the awful climb to an intersection to Xmas tree trail. If you go to Dardanelle lake, you can skinny dip and ride some really chunky stuff. It's a great cool down and fun. Then back to intersection and the rest of the downhill that you did. One of my favorite Tahoe rides.

Finally got ourselves over to NORCAL/Tahoe area last week from Ontario for some sweet MTB action. This is the second locale/trip we’ve scoped out based on your videos (last one was Quebec Sentier du Moulin which we’ve already done twice now 🤘). This ride was an absolutely gem 💎 - perfect amount of spice and the scenery was easily top 3 in my books for all time scenic MTB trails. Can’t thank you enough for your awesome videos I’m sure there’ll be many more trips to come 😁

This place looks like something I watched in the TV back in the 90s. Don't know if it was a film, series or sitcom but I think it was something for kids. Maybe something with a park ranger? Doesn't matter but I have a strong feeling of nostalgia watching this and want to go there really bad and I hope some day I can realize to visit this place.

The chemistry between you guys is contagious! 3:02 Sarah got you on that tech climb! Out of my waaaay buckooo haha gorgeous scenery my oh myyy. This is gonna be a crazy year for my wife, my 2 year old and me. We work in the film industry and we got 3 feature films lined up for next year. In a way its great financially its good security but in another the schedules and deadlines are crazy. Alot of stress. My only wish is to get past next year as fast as possible then take a few months off, fly to the US, rent an RV and map out and do a bunch of these trails on your channel Brian. Maybe even see you on the trail who knows! Head down and pushing through 🤟😑🤟

@6:00...oh man, I always say this to everyone, some of the scenery you can come across, hidden deep into an MTB trail can be so epic sometimes, if it was more easily accessible it could/would be a major tourist spot. Case in point, valley bras du nord in Quebec. But there are so many other hidden gems, like that little lake in this vid... it's cool because they're locked off simply by virtue of location and the mode of transportation used to get there. Some are too far and remote to hike there, no good by car there's no roads, only sacred single track and some sweat gets you there! :)

Have to say, those are some sweet trails, love the fact that it's such a mix of just super smooth flow and then around the corner, the most chunk ever. 3:02 about time Sarah finally got one back on you on a tech climb 😛 You're going to have to speak to Sarah about that mouth, dagnabit, next it'll be a few Jiminy Cricket's and then who knows what next 😆9:53 😆

I rode this July 3rd, didn't know about the lake though. If you do hole in the ground there are a number of lakes along that trail. I've wanted to get the Klymit inflatable dingy and float around in some of these lakes. It weighs 3 pounds, would be easier than taking a paddle board though.

Tahoe's gorgeous but, avoid it on peak weekends or weekends in general. Sunday through Thursday are nicer with less people and post Labor Day, it's even nicer since you're in shoulder season with perfect weather; not too hot, less people, and cooler at night but, not frigid. You can also find some lodging deals since it's shoulder season. Truckee/Donner Lake area is also worthy of checking out. (You can even take your friends and/or family to the Donner Camp Picnic Ground and have a picnic...) Same rules as above with Tahoe but, it's not quite the anthill Tahoe is. The hostel is also easier to get a bed at in Truckee. Close to Tahoe but, away from some of the maddening herd that plagues Tahoe. There's even a Grocery Outlet in town now so, you don't have to go to the lame, expensive Safeway or spendy, boutique, and even disliked by the locals, Raley's.

I was just out there stayed up in Kingsbury, we were going to Northstar but with Stinger trail less than 1/4 mile from where we stayed… I just had my wife pick us up at the Safeway when we were done… Stinger trail was fun, did that a few times… solid 7 miles of downhill…

@@mikeo3589 Sick! Those neighborhood trails that you used to get to safeway also connect up to a lot of the houses on lower Kingsbury including mine. I have my wife drop me off at the top and just ride back to my garage. ;)

Best trick we've found for reserving a spot for later with the van is a little lean to for shade, a couple of camping chairs, a table, and a rug or tarp. So far so good on people respecting that it's an occupied space and moving on while we get to bike for the day! Although you can't beat the convivence of biking out from camp!

We evolved as a part of nature on this blue planet. As a species, we impact it for better and worse, but ultimately we're no less enmeshed in the ecosphere. Taking 'us' out of 'nature' does not = true nature. I understand your point that we need to be better stewards of nature, but I think in order to foster this, we need to understand our interconnectedness in nature. No nature, no humans...
