Your handicap is you're average score. Just because you're lowest round ever may be 82 and 86, doesn't make your handicap 10 and 14. I have a little 7100 yard course in west TN yall can't break 100 on if you play the ball down. Nashville is only 3hr away.....

​@@jonmacadoo8514it is most definitely NOT an average. Your handicap is only based on your 8 BEST differentials from your last 20 rounds. It gives a better indication of your playing potential than your average or consistency. They may still be lying, but so many people in these comments don't seem to understand how handicap index is actually calculated. It also takes course difficulty into account so if they're playing mostly challenging courses then they can score higher and still end up with the same index.
