A Few Fun Facts: Flamingos are omnivores who love shrimp, snails, and algae that they dig for with a shovel like bill. The female lays one egg at a time and the nest is on top of a mound in a shallow hole surrounded by water. Both parents take care of the young who is fuzzy grayish white as a hatchling. It is said that their adult pinkish color comes from the carotinoids in the food they eat. Thanks for sharing the footage of them in the wild, nature is so amazing, right!?

We sailed the BVIs and stopped at Anegada for a night and went to see the flamingos there. They were pretty far away too, but still cool to see. You can get a heck of a fresh lobster dinner there too. Perhaps sail there sometime, as it is also some amazing sailing.

@@adventurecrews first of all, there are too many for there to be just 1, but if I had only one choice, I would probably say the one that was on the 9th (I may be wrong about the date.) the one where everything went wrong. Most of the time on social media all you get to see is everyone's side A, meaning the good times and the great experiences. rarely does the public get to see the side B, or the not so great side of things. It shows your vulnerability, and the reality of life. Nobody in life has only a side A kind of life. If the truth be told, most of life if comprised of side B's. Anyway, thanks for keeping it real and not being afraid of letting us in.

Whoa! You caught them in flight...twice! That is so cool, gave me chills. I've never seen them like that before. Sick Cole's trek for the additional footage was worth it! Flamingos are well known to be fans of classic comedians, like Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short.
