Really nice to see new fishermen be "born" . Reminds me my own start many years ago!

That reefs super loaded most of the time but on the other side of that bridge is where you’ll get better bites

Hi, i got some tips for you :D 3:30 Please don't reel the weight all the way up to the top of the rod as it might damage your line leaders and cause the line to slowely wear overtime and snap in the least expecting moment. 7:30 When casting you should not have the weight smashing your rod tip, leave something like 15-25 inches of free line it should help with casting distance and not breaking your rod. 7:45 When you get a bait, try a little hook setting pull and then take it easy, you dont have to reel in as fast as you can because small fish isn't gonna run away or empty your spool, just keep the tension on the line and you will be good. 8:00 Again fully reel up to the rod tip, we don't do that. Try to leave some line so the fish will bo on your arms extension level when u horizontally pick up the rod, It make it easier because you dont have to backup your whole rod from bottom to tip so you can unhook the fish. 9:20 You can hold your rod little higher, try to hold the reel mount between your fingers and support the back of the rod with your forearm/elbow to make it more stable. - Please get yourself a unhooking pliers because a hook in the hand isn't fun trust me ;) These are some tips from my expirience, please dont take it as hate or something... I'll be watching you and making sure that you make progress :D Sorry for bad English but it's not my first language i hope you understand what im trying to tell you :D. If you got questions, just hit me up in comments, have fun fishing!

Jurass3k got it right. Never reel your lure all the way to the tip of the rod. It’s extremely painful to watch for experienced fishermen lol. It doesn’t take much practice to get good at swinging lures/fish back to yourself without having to set the rod down. And the reel is usually the center of balance for a rod. Two fingers in front, two in back. It’s a more comfortable grip and you get better leverage. This should be an interesting series to watch!
