We Chose 10 PC Pokemon For a Battle

Do this, fill up the box with pokemon, but you both only choose 3. The twist being that the selection applies to both boxes. You can place your pokemon down so there is some strategy in figuring out where to place your good/ bad pokemon so you only get good ones and your opponent only bad ones.

So in theory, tavi chooses a2 and they both get a2 and it could possibly be tavis best mon but a chance that the opponent put a bad mon in a2. Call it Grid SoulLink or Battleship SoulLink. The concept reminds me of soullinks. Lol
