This is great! I have been wishing the two of you would do more of these little projects together where you actually do the work yourselves (like you did on the Jeep). You should always have a project vehicle the two of you work on together. (Maybe bring Andre in once in a while for comic relief?) It is really fun to see you abandon a scripted format once in a while. Loved this video and keep them coming!

Despite all the warranty problems I had (the first one being a misaligned rear bumper!), I will admit the 4Matic system was unstoppable in snow. We got 10" one winter and I took a coworker to the supermarket because his Audi A4 Quattro didn't have the ground clearance to get out of his driveway.

That liner is gonna peel. You need to sand the surface for adhesion. Painting on top of already peeling paint, it’s just going to keep peeling.

I’ve used this stuff without any preparation or even cleaning. After about 20K miles through some pretty harsh climates, the paint holds up nicely. This isn’t your granddaddy’s paint in a can.

Dr. Skillz I have 10 years in the auto body industry and have used a variety of rattlecan liners. You still need to prep the surface, PARTICULARLY in this case because it doesn’t matter how good the stuff in the cans is, the paint underneath is still breaking down and peeling

Wait a second, isn't this the same car from Jurassic Park 2??? Yeah it is! According to the Wiki, they used ML320s4-wheel drive, front bull bars, a front tow cable, a winch, fog lights, rear tail light guards, custom step bars, leather seats, camo paint. one of them had the rear section taken out, making it look like a subaru Baja.

I don’t remember what company it is but there are spacer lift for them. I think it’s 2” front and 1” rear lift. But it would also help out for clearance when overlanding. Kinda like my buddies KL Trailhawk with the MFC+Dobinson 3” lift on it. But he runs 32s without rub.

You will absolutely love that coating. I did that to a set of Bumpers on a Sprinter and it is ridiculously durable.
@cjvx72084 жыл бұрын
But would the coating hold up to minor scuffs and bumper flex
@LukeEdward4 жыл бұрын
Carlos Rohena Accidentally pulled too close and banged the front bumper into a pole a week after. It was just fine. Lovebug season is harsh on a vehicle and I had to go back and forth across the state of Florida destroying the front end. A soapy power wash and a stiff bristle brush took everything off 2 days later. I was dragging in 4x8 sheets of plywood and 2x4’s one day and there was some of the coating rubbed off in spots on the top of the rear bumper, BUT, it was super easy to touch up and it disappears. As for scuffs, I also found a $6 can of Rustoleum semigloss black that matched, and a quick clean with denatured alcohol and it touches up nice. It isn’t perfect, but if your prep it well, it’ll strongly adhere, you can touch it up for years to come.

I really enjoy your classic and budget builds. It's more realistic to me anyways. As much as I love seeing all the reviews on new cars and trucks but I won't be buying a $70,000 truck anytime soon on the money I make. Plus I live in Canada so those vehicles are even more money. Some of the older trucks u buy are nice to watch and say hey i might actually be able to afford to do something like that. Anyways my point is thanks for mixing it up and for people that are a a tight budget. Love see all the new and the old. Dream about the new and maybe buy the old. For now anyways
