@Ban Ned yes ban This is the thing I said you know if you see in my comment instead of investing money in jewelry /Cars/jewelry bullshit that don’t mountain nothing after you bought it like Ving reims sad. All the money these athletes/entertainers/actors and actresses if they took this money and go back and rebuild their community or help rebuild their cities they would see much accomplish first of all go to the colleges since the state of United States will not pay for everybody’s college fund pay for that then go to these places where the working hard-working people help them pay their bills yes help the under privilege and all that but shit the damn work and people on the previous two I know I’m one of them what side bar Roland Martin is right a lot of you commentator folks like me are right every body needs to stop the fucking shucking and jiving the shit talking I’m gonna diss I’m going to death look at the people that’s coming in our country that never fought a war fuck in a country like we did none of them they fare better than we do they come ready here set these people in our neighborhood they make their money and take it back to the country and then a lot of them have the nerve to top with disrespect to us like somebody gave them the book of dummies and told them Black people were the first chapter. But then look at it we prove the fucking point look how we shooting a murder in each others so if they see that what does that tell you we so deep we don’t even get up this week by streets know more in the trash man don’t make no business about doing shit leave a shit in the street foot and we don’t get up and clean it up so what the hell you think people got a thing I don’t live around people like that either I need my folks black is black what are you gonna say what do you expect other people to say when we don’t do what we’re supposed to do not have to do supposed to do I remember business back in the day seven 6070s or 80s black business in abundance now they’re trying to get it together and what not which is a good thing better late than never a black folks please pay attention until Jesus comes we got to do what we Gotta do keep our prayer type he gone Jesus first form was never last but do a whole lot better not just in business just in self improvement raising our children like we supposed to put down these guns stop killing your own people and another thing black folks be careful those people that they don’t catch when they kill somebody black they may just be wearing a mass of a black and I seen that on TikTok seven months ago so be aware folks cause it ain’t always black shooting a black think about it have a blessed week peace

@@jenisejackson5408 did roland Martin call out democrats for nominating a sheriff for governor of Texas in 2018 that had so many ppl die in police custody on her watch obamas dept of justice sued her for it? No? Why not? Cuz he's biased and he's a race baiter. That's why. If your really gonna fight racism you fight it where you see it no matter which side its coming from. Did he call out kamala harris for being a orrupt prosecutor or Joe biden for writing a bill to block government funds from being use to bus black children to white schools? Racism is not a republican thing. Democrats hold the record for more racist acts in American history than any other group. Joe bidens right there with them calling integrated schools jungles. Im definitely tired of folks in our culture pretending support the culture, when its convenient for them, and then complain about not getting paid, on platforms they down own. And theres a few here on KZbin who are like that. They want support, yet they do and say things that are against " the culture". As soon as folks from " THE CULTURE" call them out on their questionable actions, they want to block you, send moderators or find other ways to suppress you. I don't trust people who scream they're for the culture. Actions speak louder.

I take the term, "The Culture" to mean Hip Hop Culture. I never confuse The Black Community with "The Culture" because there are many conflicting interests with the two. The problem is that this generation of our community is contemporaneously feeding and yet being nurtured by the two. Thus, this new generation conflates culture with community at their own peril. "Nothing is new under the sun." Which is why "youth is wasted on the young."

If we are to move together forward as a people, we have to be more organized/coordinated, in going about it. If our problems are significantly structural and systemic in nature, the remedy has to be of that same nature. So many individuals and groups, say they have the answer for all of us, but do this, without getting all of ours cooperation in solving our problems. Our problems are of both an external and internal nature. Both are in their own way systemic and structural. We have to of course address both, but we have more control over the internal problems, thus they must get most of our efforts directed towards them. The quickest gains will be gotten there. This give us greater strength, to have an impact on the external causes. A few basic things should happen first, IMO, if we are to continue to think of ourselves as a homogeneous group, with the intention of improving all of our lives. A national address from a large body, representative of the numerous fractions that exist among us, must take place. It must inform all of us, of the state of our present condition, and make the case for an urgent change, in how we live and interact with one another. We have to acknowledge the disagreements we will always have. This being one of the most starkest realities, we must therefore, establish or acknowledge, what we can all agree on. The most basic of human values should be that, but sadly we don't seem to agree on that either. This is our emergency test of our ability to unite. If we can't come to agreement on basic human values like valuing life itself, and being honest, what can we possibly come together around and work to do together? We have to determine what this unity can and then will be based on. We have been hearing of "Black Agendas" for over a decade - none of which have really been - a list of things for us to do as a group, for our benefit. They have been government agendas to resolve the external problems. Where is the agenda for the internal causes of our problems? We don't even speak the same language, as the poster - 'The Argument' - eluded to, in the statement - "I never confused the Black Community with "The Culture"". We need much more of this kind of insight to be heard and understood by us. We have been talking in circles, for decades now. Generational slang doesn't help. It does show how disconnected we are. The intellectual/ activist/politician disconnect from the masses of Black people, is also substantial. Even with social media, all these years, I dare say the majority of Black people are not even aware of a term like 'respectability politics'. When we say 'we', we are surely using it, in the loosest sense of the word. I've been talking a lot about gas lighting, in the past few years, but that is being redundant, since we have been living up to the definition of insanity, for half a century or more - doing the same things over and over and expecting deferent results. The internet/social media is a very powerful tool, but it is being abused to our detriment. We faired much better under the natural 'Grapevine'. Maybe we were a different people back then - maybe not. Maybe we have devolved. No revolution was ever televised, put maybe our devolution has been. The "Reset'. that we have been hearing people say is needed, is not enough. When was any previous state of our existence ever been adequate? We must evolve and/or be reborn, if we really want things to significantly change for the better.

The same thing that is going on in Rap Music today, there are people arguing about who started Rap Music or Hip Hop. Where some are saying it was started by a Jamaican immigrant in NY. Some say NO! NO! It was started long time ago by African Americans. I said, it does not matter to me who started it, as long as it was started here in America by Black people, it is fine by me. However, my concern is, who is benefiting from RAP Music and Hip Hop culture right now? Who owns all the Record Companies that are making Billions out of Hip Hop? It is not Black people, the only thing our brothers & sisters get out of Hip Hop is Bankruptcy (Broke) Imprisonment, Death, drug addiction and misogynistic lyrics against women of our community. Those who controls the Rap Music and the Hip Hop Industry decides what Music we should listening to, Yeah! The Music that you started an outsider controls it and rips the Financial benefits out of it. The are able to make sure that all the Positive Rapers are eliminated out of the Rap game and artists with negativity are encourage and promoted to flourish. Rappers with Female dresses are promoted for young black children to look up to. The Rap game become a death Trap for young black artists. Every now then, you watch the news, what do you hear? Such and such Rap was shot dead or has been sentence for such and such years. Now they came up a new way to dump rappers in prion with Rico Charges. The Government can use a Rapper's lyrics and charge you for that and send you to Prison. WHO OWNS, CONTROLS AND FINANCIALLY BENEFITS FROM HIP HOP, NOT ABOUT HIP HOP/RAP MUSIC WAS STARTED BY A JAMAICAN OR AFRICAN AMERICANS, that is what should be our concern right now. IF WE DON'T MASTER THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE BROKE RAPPERS OR HIP HOP STARS

If Tyler Perry got that much power, tell him to hire some of the blacks, who's tired of working under these white, run and owned companies. I don't have a college degree, but has worked over 35 years of my 48 year life. And if his studio is that big, I know I've accumulated an enormous amount of skills at one of these white owned businesses, that he, or any black owned company can benefit from. But it will always be a road block, to prevent that from happening.

I like what Kelly said. Not everyone has to be an entrepreneur, but as Black people in the USA, we need to own something. That’s why I won’t sell my houses. That’s why I had to change my mindset that we need to keep $$$ in the community to the extent possible.

As usual, Roland breaks down what is wrong with the mindset of majority of BP. The mindset that we 'own' something versus the reality of minimum ownership of something. Killing on blocks we don't own. Dancing in clubs we don't own. Relying on dollars printed like monopoly. BP have to change their mindset to an ownership and not just a show for others.

As a white man, I'd like to live in a country where you didn't have to make such a speech as this, because there actually were equal opportunities. But you are right on the mark. It isn't racism to respond to racism in a constructive way.
