Geographically, you two are in the place to be. Historically, northerners move to FL then nature takes it’s course making things available and The Mrs. often just wants rid of things. Been a subscriber for a while now and I’m envious of the sheer number of sales you can visit. Living in rural SC folks just don’t have sales like this and the number of golfers per capita is dismal. The 845's are one of the best sets of irons for beginner's! They are so easy to hit....that's what I got my late father for him to learn how to play golf. Before I moved to New Orleans in early 1997, I got him on the course with me for 18 holes. He played the forward tees...as did the husband and wife who were paired with us. The other man just watched in awe as I hit my driver on this course, since the fairways were extremely wide, and I think my shortest drive was around 285 yards! My dad shot a 109 I think, and the other couple were about the same...only the wife beat him by a shot! My dad was really amazed by my play...I shot even Par...a 72. I had one double bogey...as my shot over water didn't skip!!!! But, I eagled the 17tth hole, a 490 yard par 5....with a driver and 5 wood to about 15 feet and made the putt! My dad had the card framed, and my mom has it now. She told me that my dad was very impressed watching me play. Cherish your parents while they are still around!!!

Good for you if you can hit that R1 straight. That is a long, low-spinner, but I was never able to hit it straight. CG is so far forward. Also, that Razr Fit fairway is a steal. That thing is so good.

This may not be a new idea but something I’ve always done is buy sports equipment at thrift stores and take them to Play it Again Sports. They’ll give you in-store credit (for example I’ll usually find decent tennis racquets for 2 dollars or so and get 10-15 dollars in-store credit for which I buy golf clubs with). Again, probably not a new idea but would make an interesting series seeing you guys buying sports equipment at thrift stores or wherever and turning that into golf clubs at play it again sports
