Found a fix, but you will require a spare android phone for this: Step 1: Transfer your sim to your spare android phone and install whatsapp on it Step 2: Wait until the 7 hour text verfication period is over and login to your whatsapp account on your spare android Step 3: Once you have set up your whatsapp on your spare android, clean install whatsapp on your ios device Step 4: With your sim still in the spare android, login to your whatsapp account on your IOS device Step 5: You should now be able to receive the verification code on your spare android's whatsapp Once you have logged in successfully into your IOS device, you'll automatically be signed out of your spare android.
