The Digimon Movie was actually my introduction to the franchise when I was really young, so Omnimon has always held a special place in my heart. That being said, adult me hopes that future series branch further out from the whole Greymon-Garurumon dynamic.

A cool idea for Omnimon would be if he could "fuse" with the other royal knights. Not necessarily a Jogress, more like Mode changes in a similar vein to how Imperialdramon became paladin mode. So we could have Omnimon Joust Mode (Gallantmon), Omnimon Wyvern Mode (Examon) Omnimon Crusade Mode (LordKnightmon/Crusadermon), Omnimon Defense Mode (Craniamon), Omnimon Blitz Mode (Leopardmon), Omnimon Centaur Mode (Kenturismon/Sleipmon) Omnimon Savior Mode (Jesmon), Omnimon Future Mode (UlForceVeedramon), Omnimon Brawler Mode (Gankoomon), Omnimon Dynasty Mode (Dynasmon. Not sold on the name, just couldnt come up with anything better), Omnimon Luminous Mode (Magnamon. Gold Mode just sounded too basic), and finally, Omnimon the Beginning (Alphamon.) Hope you like this concept

I love the idea of Joust, Wyvern as a draconic Omnimon, and even Crusade/Crusader-Mode as a double fuse with Dynasmon to make for Omnimon's arms or as weapons. I would only rename Craniamon's mode as Rook Mode, like in chess, only because Defense didn't sound iconic like your other suggestions, but even now I'm doubting Rook-Mode myself.

I especially like Othallamon for its intimidating glowing eye, Omnimon: Bond of Unity because it just looks awesome, and last but not least, Omnimon Merciful Mode - Complete, for how every Digimon that comprises it has a place that ultimately doesn’t make the final whole a jumbled mess.

I get why cause despite the variants there's not alot of individual identity to them that makes them stand out apart from just being an omnimon with a different color scheme. These designs though really have good designs that stand out from one another.

As someone that's not a big fan of the Bond designs, I really like how Omnimon Bond of Unity turned out. It seems like a perfect combination of the two previous forms while also perfecting that Bond concept. I also love the COMPLETE Merciful Mode for balancing each element of all the Adventure partner digimon. Having a halo made of the kids' crests is a nice cherry on top.

Alter J is awesome! One other thing to consider with its lore could be that in the royal court, the voice of the people was the Jester. Making light of the courts decisions and making sure that the people were considered as well. Not exactly how you described Alter J's role, but very similar. Also Jester starts with J lol

My hot take though - I agree with wanting someone beyond "Ancient" for the AncientGrey and AncientGaruru fusion, but in my mind "Primal" implies something bestial and uncivilized. I think a more fitting name for it could be UrOmnimon. "Ur-" is a Greek prefix meaning "proto-, primitive, or original".

Finally! I have been associating VictoryGreymon and Zd'Garurumon in some ways for years, and I love how it turned out in this video. Bond of Unity is also a really awesome design, and Merciful Mode - Complete is absolutely stunning. How about an Omnimon version of Gaioumon, which is a subspecies of Greymon, and something like MetalGarurumon X-Antibody? (I just realized there are far less Garurumon Digimon than Greymon)

You know, as much as the community on average dislikes Merciful, you have to remember that we as fans have the power of hindsight on our side, so while this Complete form is (imo) substantially better, it likely wouldn't exist without the base inspiration that was Merciful.

Honestly, I personally feel like my more lowkey idea for Omnimon Merciful Mode (having the Crests floating around him similarly to how the Code Crowns (or whatever those funky symbols for the Seven Great Demon Lords are called) kinda float around or along the two Super Demon Lords, being able to either be merged with the WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon arms or even used standalone to use attacks based on the other Digimon (possibly even their entire lines, given how it seems to fuse the _Crests,_ not the Digimon), the Crests of Courage and Friendship kinda just amping their general output) works just a little better, but that's more of a fix and not really the "one step beyond" that Merciful Mode Complete does. On a separate note, in this little Digimon project of sorts I'm going for (a crossover between Digimon and Hololive where the Hololive members are Digimon, I know it's weird), one of the Tamer characters (you _could_ say Digidestined, but I feel iffy about calling them that here) actually manages to directly tame his partner's Dark Digivolution and make use of it as the standard Ultimate. Her Mega, then, is a fusion of her normal and Dark Digivolved forms. This whole idea recently made me think of how _other_ Digimon characters who had to deal in Dark Digivolution and other adjacent situations like Ruin Mode could tame that dark power and use it for good, even merging it with the more consistently-heroic side of their partner to achieve greater power. Just think how badass a Digimon that combines Greymon and SkullGreymon could be, or a "jogress" (put in quotes because it's kinda weird) between Gallantmon and Megidramon, or some kinda hybrid variant of Burst Mode and Ruin Mode for ShineGreymon (currently hanging on the name "Zenith Mode" for this form). There's so much potential here! (Helps that we already kinda have a precedent for this with GulusGammamon's "redemption" at the end very likely setting up Proximamon in the future, and _that_ is literally just goodest boi and Dark Conqueror coming together into a united form)

Mercyful mode: Complete goes HARD, Jesus. And may I suggest a PROPER Omnimon II? In the PS1 Card Game, you could get Omnimon by fusing WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon as usual, it'd be a Fire card with the Transcendent Sword as its strongest attack BUT you could also fuse MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon to get Omnimon II, which was an Ice card with the Supreme Cannon as its strongest attack. A proper Omnimon II with the designs of the Perfects would be interesting.

Cool vid! I especially like Merciful Mode Complete. It's nice to see the other characters actually represented. Here's my idea for an Omnimon variant, based purely on aesthetics: a golden-armored fusion of CresGarurumon and VictoryGreymon who wields dual swords in lieu of the traditional sword/cannon combo. I'm not as creative with the names, so I'd probably just call him Omnimon Gold or GoldenOmnimon or something. Who needs a cool name when you're a big guy who's really good at swords?

I always wanted an Omnimon form where the Digimon head hands turn into the shoulders, while the shoulders become a spiked bracelet and a shield, with the grey sword and garuru cannon becoming hand held weapons. For reference, in Abaranger/Dino Thunder, they can create a form without the yellow ranger, which turns the drill arm into a sword and a triceratops head into a shield.

In one of the early videos (where the 02 team got dark D-N-A digivolutions), some friends and I figured they, plus a dark Ominion, would become infected and turn into the next dark masters. So just imagine Hieracosphinxmon, Skulldogumon, Bombadramon (or their megas), and Othalamon as the dark masters. Forcing Sora, Izzy, Mimi, and Joe to team up with past and/or future DigiDestines to save the world.
