Refinishing the deck today with my 17 yr old son, whom I’d just restricted from the Internet for staying up to late talking with girls, sliding schoolwork and a general bad attitude. We listened to this amazing album while we worked through our day. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life.

I’ve always liked arcade fire but never really checked into them as far as interviews or anything other then streaming their music, they are undeniably talented. As Win once sung in EN; “those cool kids stuck the past…” Although their first three albums are masterpieces, I feel like their past three albums including WE are still ahead of their time. Soon people will realize the Reflektor is their best album, and one of the greatest albums of all time. WE is also really good and as time goes one, it will receive the credit it deserves.

It's hard to replicate the early feeling, innovation and novelty of Funeral and Neon, both of which are hard acts to follow. But We is a slight return to form, probably on a par with Suburbs.

I must be a weird one because Neon Bible and Funeral are not my favorites. I like a few songs from both albums, but cannot listen to the albums in its entirety. Anything from "The Suburbs" and afterwards, I love. I can listen to the albums from beginning to end and put it on repeat again. Though I'll admit, Reflektor is my #1. WE comes 2nd. It's almost a tie for me. 😅

I disagree with Win’s opinion on everyone being a critic. We should ALL be critics of politics, art or any other human endervour. That is the wonderful thing about the internet. The voiceless now have a platform and can express any opinion they have. In the past only ‘elite’ critics of major newpapers and magazines had their critiques read. Now we all can contribute. Therefore Arcade Fire should just make the music they feel and love regardless of what people may say or write online.
