I would recommend living in Sta. Rosa Laguna. Its close to Tagaytay City, Metro Manila, hot springs of Calamba, etc. There are also plenty of school choices like Don Bosco, CEU, etc.

If you guys are moving to northern part of Luzon,.its gotta be Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac those 3 provinces are the closest to Manila and highly urbanized,.and Pampanga have a large Korean population.

Luzon is the biggest island of the Philippines and the most industrialized and modern that's why state of living is more expensive here than the other islands of Visayas and Mindanao. Living in MetroManila in Luzon is the most expensive aside from the seat of government is located here. If you want to live in cheaper places the best will be to live in islands farthest from Luzon and if you are in Luzon go to provinces farthest MetroManila. Most of the climate around the Philippines ranges from warm to hot except from December to February where the climate is a bit cooler but still warm by standard of countries that have winter. If you want cooler places to leave then you can go to higher places of our country like Baguio City which is in Luzon or other places up in the mountains where pace of life is a lot slower.

New chapters, new adventures are always a big move although the most important thing is that as long you guys are all together, it's easier to adapt to new places. You can always come back if you miss Dumaguete because at the end of the day, you're still in Philippines. The only downside of moving is leaving your friends you've met but you can always chat in social media to keep in touch. I hope you guys can adapt to new place which I'm sure you guys will do just fine knowing you guys are always positive family which will make it easier to adapt to new places. Either way good luck on the move and stay safe on the way.

If you want to live near Manila and not that expensive, try searching withinn Rizal Province area..Like the towns of Taytay, Cainta, or Antipolo..These are nearer in Manila, Makati, Pasig and Quezon City area, and these towns have plenty of schools to choose for grade school, high school, colleges and universities, malls and markets..

I think it would be easy for you to travel around PH from Luzon, especially if you would live near Manila. You can just fly to provinces in Visayas and Mindanao. I recommend that you go around Luzon since it's a big island and you can definitely see a lot of things.
