The plants are fuscias, you can get them in many different shade combos of pink and purple. They are really popular over here in hanging baskets and pots over here in the uk. My german nan said that they used to put them on graves in Germany when she was a child and she always called them mourning flowers.... i just call them beautiful, i love them because of what they look like, tgey remind me of my nan.... oh and they come back each year!

You also really need to put them in hanging baskets if you want them to flourish and fill out with lots of beautiful blooms. They do best with regular feeding schedules too. My dad used to buy me one every year and if you take special care they become as amazing as something out of willy wonka’s factory.

They don’t necessarily return every year, there are perennial and annual types of fuscias, just as there are bush types and trailing types. The ones Matt has look to be trailing which are the ones which benefit most from hanging baskets. They don’t have any specific requirements, just make sure they’re watered regularly.

Depends on the type of fuschia, trailing ones will work best in a basket but some are shrubs and can grow into basically mini trees!

I went through the comments. Learned the flowers are double creeping Fuchsia. They grow well in a hanging basket and are great for hummingbirds. lol I didn't find any comments on the chickens so here is what I learned from having back yard chickens once. When adding chickens to the flock it should be done at night when they are sleeping. They wake up together like they were always together. I did this. It was easy to put them together but they still acted as separate flocks for a long time. How are they doing in 2019?

Those flowers are Fuschias.. My granddad's favourite. Used to have loads of different colours. Ended up growing some myself. Then when he died, we put some of his ashes in the soil and they liked that a lot! (I know this is like 3 years later, and it's probably been answered a million times, but I had a cool story and I haven't watched this video before!)

I’m posting on an old vid, but the Fuschia plants are too important to let pass. Next planting, put them in good premium potting soil, near the edges of a nice hanging planter-we use wood up in the PNW. Hang the basket in coolest shade you’ve got and water A lot.
