I realize this is an old video but I am so happy other people are participating. Pin trading on the cruises have been running a lot slower lately (due to covid), but it just recently started back up again and have a few tips as a long-time cruiser if you are deciding to go again! -Be careful with the trading books and door exchanges, usually those pins are fakes, so be careful when picking out which pins you like (your pins that you showed at the end seemed to be pretty good, but just look out for ones with discoloration or no mickey print on the back) -On the longer cruises if you ever decide to go again, there's a pin trading night where the officers and captains are trading by the movie theatre entrance. It's super fun, a lot of good traders show up and usually the cast members have limited pins on their lanyards so make sure to go there early before they are all gone. -Adding on to my first point, trading with other people and cast members makes it easier to avoid fakes. Still be careful though, and if youre unsure if the pin is fake, trade something of less value to you :) obviously have fun and the pins you got looked great!

I can’t believe people leave the pins on there room doors that’s so freaking cool honeslty I need to go on a Disney cruise I would love that when I go on one I’ll deffienlty be doing that such a awesome idea I would like to know what Facebook group tells u what doors have the pins

It's so much fun! Every Disney cruise sailing has their own facebook group. Someone in my cruise's group started a thread of what staterooms will have pin boards and it was super helpful! I wrote them all down before getting on board. =]

Oh my goodness! I had no idea that they did pin trading on the cruises 🚢! I’m starting to plan our Disney Cruise to Alaska for next May and now I’m even MORE EXCITED!

The mystery pin on the door is Secretary Bird from Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It's a Disneyland hidden mickey pin from 2010.

I've been watching pin vids for multiple years and have never seen this cruise door culture!! This is so cool. What were the little pockets most people had hanging next to their decorated door? Is there also reasons people decorate their doors or is it just to make them cute?

Yes! SO fun! The pockets next to the doors are for "fish extenders" which is an onboard gift exchange you can sign up for on facebook in your cruises group before sailing. It's great fun! I have a video up on what I gave for my gifts and soon will be putting up a video on what we received!

How do those cork boards stick to the cruise doors? How is that attached? This is cool! We love pin trading and have a cruise planned. That was the one thing I thought we would miss out on from the parks.

Jennie Cardo the Cruise doors are magnetic! So you could use heavy duty magnets on the back of a cork board (I’ve secured them with packing tape before) or you can get a heavy duty magnetic hook to hang a board off of 😄 Have fun!!
