Lawton’s Beginning In Entrepreneurship
Lawton Hopwood, property expert and investor based out of Manchester UK, went viral with his mentor and now good friend ‘Samuel Leeds’ on one of his youtube videos. This journey of property business started with absolute zero investments and Lawton went on to make over £20,000 a month. He began his days of career as Plumbing & Heating engineer and was promoted to Project manager with a new company where he worked for 4 years. Though this gave him an average and comfortable life, it was not something Lawton wanted in life. Lawton shares, ‘I didn’t grow up poor but my mum was a single mother bringing up 2 kids. I saw the struggle for all those years. I think this was one of the incidents in life that impacted me the most and sent me in the road of entrepreneurship.’
Unfortunately, in June 2020, Lawton lost his job suddenly due to the global pandemic. The young man realised that this was a potential opportunity to follow his dreams and take charge of his own life doing something that really inspired him. It was Samuel Leeds 365 program which gave him the kick start. After enrolling on the course and learning the art of deal sourcing Lawton took the opportunity to start a new career path. It was then Hopwood Homes Group was born.

I retired at 39 from the Military then sold a business that was my side hustle at 41. After taxes I make about 70k a year just on that income, not a lot but at 54, I'm barely grey haired when my dad was bald at my age. Since 'retiring' I've started 3 businesses, 1 failed, the other two I still own and that adds another 60k a year and I 'work' about 20 hours a week. The point is; plan in your twenties and stick to it. have good advisors and just because you're 'Rich' don't buy what you think the 'Rich' buy. My oldest car is 13, my watch is 30 years old and I don't own the latest phone. I pay cash for just about everything and carry little to no unsecured debt. If your friends judge you by your 'stuff' get new friends or none at all. Peace brothers and Sisters.

Investing can be really complicated as there are various asset classes which are highly skill intensive and requires deep knowledge eg stocks, Index funds, ETF, mutual funds crypto, real estate. I will also advise you to seek mentorship/guidance from a professional to avoid you getting burnt as a newbie.

I spent most of my childhood and all my teenage years living in Beaconsfield, Bucks. As a kid I used to get neck ache driving through the streets trying to look at all the MAGNIFICENT houses on either side of the roads. Walking in to any of these homes for parties always solidified that I wanted to work hard so I too could one day live that lifestyle. I'm 21 now and have moved down to the coast but I'm so ready to get started on the investment journey so I can eventually get back to Beaconsfield, my friends and to achieve what I always wanted. It feels mad that after watching a load of your videos, and listening to the property investors podcast every morning on my commute, you're actually trading in my home town. This really is such an interesting interview, I can only imagine how much a deep dive like you've done here can change someone's life, its really special to hear the journey of someone's dreams who came true.

A money secret------let it flow to attract more. Donate some to charity, help somebody, use some of your money to do something good for someone else. That will help attract more money and you will feel good about it. The energy will flow. It motivates you to help more so you make more. You create a purpose. Of course we all wouldn't mind being rich but when you share some of it you receive something in return. It's priceless.

I attended the 4 day course in london last year and loved it and awaiting a R2SA deal this week its my first deal and can not wait to get started. When they made him redundant, they destroyed his confidence, that jobsecurity comes with being a good performer in your job. So the next job, he would have felt like ... they can throw me out any minute again ... It is not a question of will it happen again that they make me redundant but when will they make me redundant? In 2 months, 1 year, 5 years, 15 years. He decided to took his life in his own hands, well done.
