Our sheep used to knock over their water in 5 seconds flat so we use a carabiner on the bucket handle to attach to the fence. It's a game changer!

We've used welded wire and chicken wire, both on our gates for the same reason - keeping chicks and chickens safe. Both work very well. Sometimes I feel chicken wire is best.

I Love chickens. I had pets back in the 50s and they kept me happy

I had to make all my gates 8 ft or higher, when I had lower gates they kept getting out. I even had to put 2x4 under the gate because they dug out and escaped
