We northerners, especially Canadians, use tarps to cover our open vehicles because of the snow (and rain). We usually sweep the snow off as well, to prevent the issues you just experienced. If you have a leaf blower you can blow all the snow off very efficiently. Is there a windshield and wiper in your future? You have more snow on the ground than we do. Blessings, prayers, and greetings from Pastor Ralph Yarn, Dartmouth, NS Canada

They make an aftermarket roof for their can-am side by side. I wonder why it hasn't been a priority to install one 🤔 Seen them for about $200. I know they sell aftermarket doors as well. Enclosed buggy is better to keep the rain out as well

Didn't know if you were aware of these items for your outdoor plugs, so I wanted to let you know. I went to Amazon and used the words "multi-plug outdoor cover" to search. It pulls up assorted types, sizes, and prices some better than others. You use these year-round to keep the water out of the plugs.

Hi Steph and Brandon , enjoy your snow. I know it won’t last long in your state not like it does here in Minnesota. I used coffee can to put my plugs in to keep them dry . Just an idea for you. Then when snow and rain all gone for summer you can save them for next winters set up .

If your extension cord gets hot, it could burn the bag and cause a short. They do have hard plastic covers that you can put over those now. I bought a single one for my sister, but later saw one with a more complex cover (multi plugs). I'll research to see if I can find it and let you know.
@EddyFamilyFarm12 күн бұрын

You are lucky that when you pulled on the extension cord it came up and wasn't under a layer of ice, because then it parts and you have to find where the other cord is laying.

I do not miss this kind of snow at all! It is supposed to snow/ice mix here in Alabama Tuesday. I am praying it doesn't get bad. You should zip tie a tarp to the side by side's roof to keep the snow off of you when you are driving. You did a great job getting everyone fed. Not easy when snow is that deep. I love your idea of a barn(s) closer to the house. Everything is so expensive, but I know you will get a barn or 2 in the future. Just keep working along and it does happen. Hopefully not as long as it took to get your house!!!!🥰😇 You could even use a 2 sided lean to for the side x side, tractor, or when you can get the roof on the other barn, that will really help. All in GOD's timing.
