I recall fishing a fresh water stream for crayfish. Four girls about 65 years ago. We didn't have the "fancy net" like you guys. We tied a sand sifter to a thin branch and it worked. We took our large crayfish to school where it was kept in a fish bowl for several days before returning it to the stream. I had almost forgot about this venture until watching your "Great Adventure". It is the little things that come back to you as you age that bring a smile to your face.

I don’t like cold and windy, either, but I do have wonderful memories of fishing with my dad :) From when I was 4 and we went creek fishing and put the fish in the bathtub... mom was not pleased! Think the last time I was in my 30’s, we got up in the dark and went to a nearby lake. My mom was a farm girl, but she was not interested in fishing! lol Those memories are priceless!

Before you left the truck area, that neat backpack almost completely blended in with the rocks. If it had not been for the straps standing out due to the solid color, I would not even have noticed it.

Absolutely my favorite way to spend a day hiking in the great outdoors. I love it, I have twin grandchildren a girl and a boy and I used to beg them to go hiking with me. Shane love it Sierra hated it. So Shane and I would go and sierra would stay with her Mom. Sierra is definitely a city girl. 😂

We go fishing 🎣 for flounder every summer. Not if Mazzy knows this but flounders have both eyes on ONE side of their head! Because they are a flat fish🐟and lay on the bottom of the water. We fish on either the sound or the bay.
