They can actually run your card and check the play history, I told an employee one time that I spent like 20+ tries and he checked my history and ended up just giving it to me.

I own a couple claw machines and you can make the payout any ratio you want up to 1/1000. Not sure about older machines but it's up to the owner how they set up the win ratio.

Omg that claw was like our ones in Australia most of ours have rang high payouts . I remember one my grand daughter wanted I kept trying luckily with half price credits so instead of 2.80 it worked out to 1.40 per play but it took me 63 tries ! Then when we were in the prize area I saw we could have gotten it for 2000 tickets 😢 Always check prize area b4 playing
