The furnace in the living room is not a furnace it's an old wood burning stove. People used to heat their homes with them and still do heater homes with them. You can even if they're flat on top cook on them.

I literally have 4 in my house, plus a fireplace AND a furnace... we use them all the time, currently have two burning to save on fuel. Why not burn a natural and FREE type of heat than pay out the wazoo for fuel oil.

Yes, and the "crossbows" he mentioned were actually just a couple of arrows. And the shotgun shells also have more than just "3 or 4 pellets" inside them too. 😂 PS .... I also love wood burning stoves. I always had heat when the power went out, but not only that, I used to boil water on top of it and used it to fill a hot baths, as well as cooking on the top of it. Oh, how I miss that wood stove!!!

I have a feeling this was Grandma's house, she remarried and moved in with new husband and turned the keys over to grandson for while he was in college. Grandma died and it went into probate and grandson was forced to leave until family fighting over the land is done. The house being in probate would explain why there is still electricity - the estate is paying the basic utilities.

The red and black room was a gaming room. There were several felt card game table top covers that were on the floor. I bet the ceiling was lowered to help with utilities. That's why the chandelier was so low.

The letter from the Grandmother was interesting and also cryptic strange. It's always surprising when power is still on. That's not a furnace its a wood burning stove aka cast iron fireplace and yes it was originally duct out; They are also still being made and Home Depot/Lowes sale them. Alright, not trying to be arrogant or a smart@ss etc. when finding ammo in abandoned places I would never pick it up without gloves- reason is what if someone comes along also gets it and then use it to commit a crime, then your finger prints are left on the shell case at a crime scene. I thought the same thing when he picked up the ammo... he better hope no one uses it to hurt someone, his prints would be on it. His prints are on everything he touches in the house, you just never know. That's why many explorers wear gloves. And one should also try to put things back as they found them, just for decency. My husband put a wood burning stove in our living room when we moved in, we're using it right now... saves on the electric bill and its a good back up when the power goes off in the winter.

I had a multi rental property. When a tenant left the electricity would be discontinued with the electric company. When I went in to repaint, etc. the electric was always still on, and I wasn't paying for it and I know my old tenants wouldn't be paying for it.

If I am to speculate, I would say the boy was the grandson, he grew up there, he lived with Grandma and his dad, he had his own things, the musical instruments, gaming room, and exercise room were not for Grandma. Then he got busted, went to prison, and Grandma died, leaving the house behind. That is a nice piano, who would leave it there to rot? I would imagine there was something there with names on it that you could research if you really thought he was "missing". lol🥴

My guess is that the red and black room is a game room. The low-hanging chandelier would've been hung over a table of some kind, either a game table or a pool table maybe. You'd usually see a fixture hung that low over a dining room table.

I think it’s fascinating exploring abandoned places. One thing I suggest when the power is still on at these places-please SHUT OFF lights or UNPLUG appliances and TVs, etc. the tax payers are footing the bill for power that’s not being paid for….unless you know for certain someone owns it and gives you permission to go in. I’d hate for others to have to have higher power bills because of this.

Most likely the parents or grandparents that owned the home died, and the son or grandson lived in the house, not taking care of it and trashed it. From the drawings on the wall, it looks like some type of trauma was happening to someone in the family.

Clickbait for what i consider a 'staged house', what do i mean by being staged, all over the internet with properties like this none actually show how they got in, i think this is due to a door was unlocked by whoever allows people inside the property. In this property though the power still being on means someone is still looking after the place and paying the bills. Something else that happens with videos like this is other bloggers have been in the same properties and everything from maybe an old bottle to a plate sitting in a sink are in the exact same place, if anything picked up normally put back down in exact same spot, almost like a Museum. There is also the fact that people like to steal and so many things would not just be left, e.g. Gameboy, nothing Sinister or Illegal went on either as the ammo 100% would not still be sat like it is, there is also no signs of any forensic activity took place inside the house. Soon as first video went online there would be those who would come and loot the place, proving that these places are normally locked up and have someone who looks after them. More evidence of them not just being an abandoned property. Cops came, didn't show them... did they really?? Video itself, Photographs of different families, erm i have 100's of pictures of other families but my own, okay they may be relatives or friends of the family as i am sure many people will, nothing odd there. Letters written but not sent, makes me think that someone may have had a crush and wanted to let someone know but never had the guts to send off the letters. Gave me a laugh though when picked up a stringed guitar and went on to wonder if it worked.... hmm why wouldn't it have, of course unless electric. Finally would be interesting to see why a Family would just get up and go leaving everything, a couple of reasons come to mind, last person living there died and nobody to leave it to or had a massive lotto win. Maybe one of the viewers will recognize the house and comment exactly what the story is.
