Monkey King sniping courier is a wild strat. Some gameplay commentary where I try to make this work in a pub with minimal griefing.

Had an enemy try the monkey shenanigans yesterday. I predicted it and dewarded him before the game started. Then the guy didn't know what to do, so he sat in our base right outside the fountain for the first 5 mins. Turns out he was playing Monkey King pos 5, so their drow didn't get to play the game. He killed 1 courier and hit lvl 2 at 7 mins.

I was on the receiving end of this a week back. PA into razor Veno and my monkey king is in their base with 0 courier kills until I’m level 4. If you catch on to this strat early it’s just game over. 5k mmr

I mean the sitting in the base component is the problem. While there are no couriers to snipe, you just play standard pos 4 mk. So it sounds like they overcommitted/didn’t understand how they should be going about this.

24:45 Because Heavenly Grace is back to having the BKB component, only BKB-piercing dispels (AKA ults with dispels, not Nullifier) can effectively dispel it. SD is still a counter and Doom also does it. Dispels generally don't pierce BKB.

Surprised when you didn’t really want the T2 you didn’t take philosopher to get the passive money while scouting/dead. I’ve taken it as a core before when all the options were bad just to swap in when I die; it’s better than not having anything from that row especially in a game that goes late with a lot of fights.
